I have a Denon AVR-2800 Receiver that's it. I tried them on our newer Yamaha HD receiver (don't remember the model, too lazy to check) and they sounded terrible, but on the Denon they were great.

Well I'm listening to them now and man do they have some great bass for being so old. Because of my very limited knowledge I won't comment on anything else except that they sound extremely 'narrow' (best word to describe it) or close.

Cool. I'll definitely consider those then. I may be waiting a bit due to other expenses, but it's good to know what to buy when I get enough.

Well I can say the HD800s and Beyer T1s are slight bit out of my price range  I've heard nothing but good things about the Mad Dogs though, I'll have to research them a little more.
