I placed an order for a Solvine. Excited to try out on my LCD3F! I wonder how many people are getting the new Solvine. I have a Draug2 on my HD800 and it toned down the hot treble very well and gave a lot more body to the bass. I wonder if one would see similar changes when paired with the LCD-2F.

Hi Mudhole,   My M11 unit has shorted bypass pins from factory as well. I wrote about this fact a while ago but I don't think anyone else commented about this so I figured it may be just a small defect in my unit. But I didn't really care since i could still configure it into any oversampling...

Shortly after I purchased my M11 last year, I posted in this thread that the BYPASS jumper does not do anything for me. The BYPASS pins are already permanently shorted (according to my multimeter) and putting jumper on or off will not make a difference, at least on my unit. I have not asked...

i assume HD800 Modded has the Anax mod? How come the mod does not do anything to the 6k peak? was that a comparison between two different units of HD800, one with mod one without mod? Also, if anyone with the new HD800S would kindly volunteer to take the protective cloth off and take photos of...

I used to have occasional ever so slight harshness with my HD800 up in the highs in x8 oversampling mode, but in NOS mode it is so smooth i can listen for hours without fatigue. This is with stock cable balanced.

Since I am very satisfied with M11 NOS mode + HD800, I wonder if I should reconsider upgrading from stock to Norne Draug 2 cable. People say Draug 2 adds bass and body + removes etch, and i don't know if upgrading cables will make my HD800 sound overly bassy and rounds treble too much... 

I cannot discern with confidence whether the actual soundstage feels more compact or not but like i mentioned before, the vocal sounds slightly more intimate and closer. Other things I noticed are that there is relatively less air between instruments and sound is more coherent and fuller than...

I've got the same reply from Kingwa:   "A lot users don't know the setting issue on the sound, they often ask what sound change with the setting change. SO we had to change the describe and the setting jumpers combo Setting to the warmest sound is the NOS."   which does not answer all...

well, i feel that I should have contacted Kingwa first regarding my concerns and then share with you guys and not the other way around creating alarms everywhere. 

I've been trying the warmest setting as well, and I definitely do feel that vocals are sounding more intimate and closer than the stock settings. This may be similar to the smaller soundstage you hear with your music i guess.

I've emailed Kingwa already and I will post the update once i get his reply. Meanwhile I feel that I am responsible for starting all this.  I should have never assumed that the pin settings would be the same as the one for the older DSP-1 page (which i got a link from the Master 7 thread i...

i tried different jumper settings only with balanced out so far and have been getting channel imbalance. I will try out with single ended as well today and report back.

i had that glob of glue on the BYPASS jumper as well as on the DITHER pins and had to removed it before i could get the stock jumper off. I was so excited to try out full NOS mode as well as other oversampling rates and all these problems surface. i sorta regret opening my M11 case...  ...

Does anybody have any shorts on the DSP chip pins? i have solder shorting some pins on one side of the DSP as shown in the photo. are these normal?     i also have shorts on the little chip which i have no clue what it's for:

i was playing around with the jumper settings for the first time and noticed that when i switch from the default x8 OS to lower OS, vocal sound shifts to the left channel more on my headphone. i notice this shift the most at x1 OS. I cannot tell whether this is due to channel imbalance or not...

i noticed the HE lineup only after I made my M11 purchase. I guess if i were to buy a separate power regenerator i should get similar results? I have been looking at Monarchy AC regenerator. Anyone have any prior experience with this?

I just installed a ferrite bead on the M11 stock power cord and I feel like i am hearing blacker background now. I don't know if I am imagining this or not lol.

I get that when I play through either WASAPI (event) or WASAPI (push). When I play through DS, it is still there but the initial cut off is much much shorter.

Thanks! everything is working fine now except that when I play through Foobar2000, the first second of each track gets cut off. It's just a minor annoyance. Also, my windows system sound gets cut off in the middle (such as the "ding" sound that's played when I double click to open a folder)...
