    E4C VS ER6i's (for a Commuter)

    E500 Questions...

Sugarfried, etc - Thanks for replying to my messages. Not very often is a person involved in designing a product is willing to talk about it - especially to clueless people like myself. (unless you get commissions...) I somehow also doubt that Sugarfried gets paid extra for PR/CS. Thanks...

    E500 Questions...

For those who might know... What "accessories" will the Shure E500 come with? Same as the E5's with the PTH/cables added? Attenuator? Do the tips (foamies, tri-flanges, etc) from the E3/E4's fit on the E500? When they ship, will they available in multiple shades (ie: black/white/grey...

E4c and ER4P etc. revisited (compare noise isolation/cancellation)

Not sure about ety IEM's, but with Shure's (E4) it heavily depends on the tips/sleeves that you use, how well they are inserted, etc. There was once something on Shure's website (and I can't find it recently) that compared the noise reduction estimates for each different tip/sleeve. The foamies...

I should add, for completeness, that everything on my iPod is encoded at VBR 192+. (LAME preset standard or extreme... depending on if I hear artifacts with the standard setting or not.)

    newbie: ipod IEM's?

A birdie told me that this was "the place" for the best of headphone advice... After several days of reading this forum, I'm more confused than ever... I'm currently using a 5G iPod (which really does seem to sound better than my previous 4G and 3G.) With it, I'm using a pair of Shure E3's...
