New headphones or new amp?
Yeah, might just do that Okay, here's the deal: I think I've just found a prospective buyer for my DT880 (selling them at €130.. yeah I know, maybe it's a little too low lol), then I'll have exactly €300 to spend. The HD598 is listed at €160, while the HD600 and HD650 at €260. Which...- xavier911

New headphones or new amp?
I had already tried the EQ route, but I just can't settle down on a satisfying preset; I always feel like I'm touching the wrong frequencies. Well, thank you all for the clarification, I understand I need another pair of headphones.. *sigh* Since I find the DT880s bright, is it gonna be the...- xavier911

New headphones or new amp?
Yes, open backed headphones are what I'm looking for. If you think I might find those Audio Technica too bright, then I don't wanna risk it. You think my Xonar ST's not enough to drive the HD650s properly? Then the choice narrows down to the HD598 and the HD600.- xavier911

New headphones or new amp?
Hello everybody, I come here in search of advice regarding an inevitable purchase. I'll start by explaining my situation: not even a year ago I purchased some DT880 Premium (250Ohm version), but I'm not really satisfied with them, as I can't stand the overly bright sound signature. Now I'm...- xavier911

Quote: Yeah, the best I can do is to gather information here and there, hoping to make the right choice in the end. I finally decided to go for the DT880s (from what I'm reading, they're a better all-rounder than the K701s, in case I go crazy and start listening to totally different...- xavier911

Yo everybody, I'm considering the purchase of these headphones (more precisely the Premiums, 250Ohm) and I wanted to ask you a question: how would you rate their bass? This is important because I don't like bassy headphones, they give me headaches. Thanks in advance.- xavier911

Quote: Yep, that's why I'm not taking into consideration any closed heaphones. I believe there's no place in my city where I can demo them, and if I order one from, let's say, amazon, I don't know if I'll be able to send it back (I can't because I'm only 17, and my parents are busy...- xavier911

Yo everybody, I've spent the last few weeks reading hundreds of threads and countless opinions to find a good replacement for my PC360s (they have some problems that are driving me nuts). Firstly, my budget is €200 (I can exceed it, not by too much though) and, as I've written in the title...- xavier911

Questions about Beyerdynamic DT880 Premium (32 ohm)
Hi all, as per the title, I need to ask you some questitions regarding the Beyerdynamic DT880 Premium (32 ohm version). Currently I'm using a Sennheiser PC360 plugged in to an Asus Xonar DG, and I'm wondering if the DT880 would be an improvement over my headset in terms of sound quality...- xavier911
