Just want to give an update: I've been using the VC1000 everyday for the past year or so and they are as great as the first day I got them.  I recommend the VC1000 to everyone and have not had one issue with build quality.   Huge, HUGE fan here.

Just used these bad boys on my first flight and the isolation was amazing.  As good or better than the X10.

These IEMs truly continue to astound me for the price.  Honestly, if you are on the fence about buying them, don't be.  Funny thing is, I almost like the sound of these straight from the source without the B&H attached.  For some reason it seems a bit airier to me (if that is such a thing).

Seriously loving these VC1000's.  Officially my favorite IEM yet.  Only knock on them is the cable noise when wearing straight down with movement.

So far I have tried them with a MBP Early 2011, new iPad, and iPod Nano (old square one).  Not really a need at all for an amp, but it is noticeably fuller when I use my C&C BH    EDIT: I'm using Out 1, GC Low, LF off, SF off.
