My new 5th sounds “better’ more jumping Shure 846. Anyone else?

Coming from JH Roxanne, these things were/are a disappointment. Rip that filter materiel out of the blue filter as soon as you can, putting all that engineering through a piece of foam seemed stupid, and it is. The sound is quickened, more responsive, brighter and now more akin to the Roxanne.

Why that looked like good advice??? I have some MMCX connector jobs coming up so your advice is (was) useful.

So, here we have my purchase of “more wired are better” 6 wire silver litz and JH Audio connectors. How or can I do this....

I’m in particular I’m looking to test balanced armature drivers of IEMs. I’m not sure if people just measure the db or the frequency response also. And a cost effective way of doing this at home. I’m hoping to re-shell at home. Thankyou

Hi New to the world of DIY electronics. Trying to put together my own cable for my JH Roxanne. I’ve went with a 6 core litz. However at 3 cables a side going in to a 2 pin.....what do I do? Clearly clueless but greatful for any help. Thanks Gordon

Hey folks Are the Shure 530 and 535 drivers the same? I'm getting custom moulds made, so can I have a 530 and 535 on opposite sides and expect the same sound? I've managed to find no 100% answer, only that the acoustic network is different which is the housing and the filter, can anyone...

Just received these re-shelled Roxannes.   As can be seen in the pictures 2 of the drivers are in contact with the caps, I feel that they will be more prone to damage am I right in thinking this?  

Can you tell me more about these please?

Hi Listening to the JH Roxanne on iPad mini2 via Spotify @ 320 kbits with a stock cable (no bass control) and I'm experiencing ridiculous scratchy sibilance on the vocals, anyone else had this problem? Also can the 4 pin reciever to go inside the headphone be bought?

Hi Got some custom moulds and the bass seems a little boomy, but when I push it in it becomes more defined. Is this caused by having it too short into the ear canal? Thanks Gordon

I have custom made shure 5 driver Iem's (by inearcustoms). I also have tinnitus. They are comprised of e5/535 drivers. I assume due to the increased driver number they take more power to open up, which agrivates my tinnitus. If I use a portable amp such as a JDS c5 will I be able to have...

Hi I've recently had custom Iem's made. The left side purrs but the right side lightly crackles at the same sound source - deep synth bass. Tried a different amp and cleaning my ears out Help?

I loved my e5, but they require a repair. I thought that throwing them in with 530 drivers would be a good idea while I'm at it as 5 drivers seems a pretty high mark. Are e5 drivers too old to match into 530's? They may help with extension issues says one man. Thank you.

Can anyone answer the original question. Are the drivers (crossover being successful) worth combining?

Um do not combine drivers from different IEM's due to not knowing the quality of the outcome. And it is £190 per driver for them to add. This is too much. I'm thinking about taking a risk with inearcustoms..... Both the shure were bought cheap......

I've just realised it is only an extra 50. I doubt they capability to complete the work without risk to me.

They are very expensive.

Well actually it's inearcustoms who "can't promise" a good sound. I'm a bit stuck.
