I am very thankful for having so many musical friends. A large number of them participate in choirs or play instruments so they are pretty good at discerning differences in sound and it makes headphone showing much more successful. They've all already been trained to notice differences in sound...

Lets see as of late a couple of the Sony XB variety, a few M50s, some HD400 series looking ones and sooo many beats and ibuds. A scary amount of beats really, like I think the entire UCR basketball team has them, 100% serious. Alas there is me walking around with my DT770s and little e07k...

Sorry for sorta off topic but do we have a thread for people to find others at like their college (or school)? Search didn't really yield anything recent...

What will you be using to run them? Do you have an amp? Also is there any kind of music you listen to specifically? 

Maybe the DT770 Pro? It may seem a bit out of your price range but if you shop around you should be able to find some. I got mine off eBay for 130 very lightly used...be sure to get the 80ohm though if you are not amping them.
