    Chord Electronics 2Qute DAC announced

Here is one stores comments on the 2qute... Haven't read the English version yet. Saw the Dutch one before and read it (But I don't know Dutch, so you can imagine :-) http://www.artsexcellence.com/downloads/reviews/chord.2qute.artsexcellence.english.pdf

    Chord Electronics 2Qute DAC announced

I was not trying to say it couldn't be the USB... I don't know enough about the isolation to comment on this too much. What I was trying to point out, is that not all small linux arm boxes have this problem. Although the Wandboad and Cubox have the same chipset, they do differ in other...

    Chord Electronics 2Qute DAC announced

About the Squeezebox driver, I undestand that the Qute HD needed a driver in general, whereas the 2Qute is UAC2 compliant. The 2Qute SHOULD work without a hitch with the squeezebox touch EDO, although I haven't tried it (my SBT is in storage). It certainly doesn't have any problems with other...

    Chord Electronics 2Qute DAC announced

Hi, I just wanted to say that on my Voyage MPD wandboard system (tiny quad-arm system using the same chipsed as the quad Cubox but I do have RT kernel installed) I have not heard any of the characteristics that have been mentioned(no mud/fuzz/grain), it all sounds extremely good to me (using...

    Chord Electronics 2Qute DAC announced

Hi all.   Just a little update, since I have had the 2qute for just over two weeks. (seems I was very lucky to get one of the first ones since the store I got it from is out and says they hope to get some at the end of next week). For general info, I ordered on the 3rd of March. As to the...

    Chord Electronics 2Qute DAC announced

On mine, the button sticks out, but doesn't really wobble much. Feels like the buttons on a computer keyboard when you remove the caps. Seems sturdy enough to me, and I have to use it to go between my sources. Maybe there is something wrong with yours?

    Chord Electronics 2Qute DAC announced

The 2QUTE is louder in my system than my previous Yulong, I think it is because it has a 3v output, don't know about the Hugo... I certainly find it clearer than anything I previously owned...

    Chord Electronics 2Qute DAC announced

Hi, that's too bad about the button, I actually was surprised when I got it that the button was better than I expected. May be some variation in the productions. I got the silver version, so I have no Idea about the finish. Mine is obviously not painted. Still getting acquainted with the...

    Chord Electronics 2Qute DAC announced

I actually got this DAC to use in my speaker system (With Totem forrest speakers and a 200w integated Jungson amp). So far, with a bit of informal listening I am enjoying it a lot, but I sold my previous DAC a month ago (Yulong DA8), and since then I have been listening to music through a Oppo...

    Chord Electronics 2Qute DAC announced

Hello All, got my 2qute yesterday :-) Unfortunately I have a very busy week and haven't had time to listen much yet :-( a TV show last night with the family and a songs to test... So far seems to sound great, very clear, and more soundstage depth than my previous dac (Yulong DA8). I can't say...

    Chord Electronics 2Qute DAC announced

Well, I have ordered a 2QUTE, can't wait until they get shipped to the dealers...   Anyway, while I wait I had one questions. Two of the three digital inputs are isolate (USB and Toslink). I will probably be connecting several devices to it. I was wondering if the noise that could come in...

Best DACs to use with Linux?

I have been using my dacs exclusively with linux for years. The highres dacs without problem (All the dacs I have had have worked, but I was a bit careful) are Asus Essence Muses, Resonessence Concero HD(DSD works) (for some kernels it needs one of the later firmware to work better), Yulong...

    Resonessence Labs Concero discussion/review thead

I just wanted to add my view of the Concero HD, which I owned for about 9 months, and just changed because I needed more inputs.   I use it in a speaker set up(Totem Forest, Jungson Hedo 200w amp), not headphones, but wanted to give some observations as they seem to differ with the last few...

    Resonessence Labs Concero discussion/review thead

Hello, This is my first post in this section. I got a Concero HD a few weeks ago. Since I use Linux on all the computers I use for Audio (Squeezebox Touch, Laptop, small arm device). Anyway, Since the Concero had problems on Linux (only worked at 96khz), I sent an e-mail to Resonessance a...

    Review: NuForce DAC-100 integrated DAC/amp

About USB compatibility to EDO. I have the u192s USB converter from Nuforce, which I undestand is the same as the one in the Dac-100. This works with EDO, but you have to unplug the usb, and plug it in after the Squeezebox is halfway booted for it to be detected. After that it works like a...

Nuforce DAC-9 192k USB input chip

I have now tested it a bit more.   Got the U192S to work in Ubuntu as stated above, but also tested 24/192, and it works fine. I upgraded my MPD system to the daily (what will turn into 0.9) which has Alsa 1.0.25 as well, and it works. My conclusion, it works in Linux, but alsa <1.0.25...

Nuforce DAC-9 192k USB input chip

I just got a U192S in the mail. It works fine in Ubuntu 12.04(Alsa 1.0.25), and is detected as supporting 192, but I only had test files of 24/96 which worked. In Voyage MPD linux, it gives an error (Alsa 1.0.24). This seems to be similar behaviour to what the TE8802 is supposed to do in...
