I noticed a *big* difference between my HD650s and the various lot at CanJam last weekend, both in terms of fit and sound. The earpads on my were grey and much softer than others. The HD650s I heard in Ft. Lauderdale seemed to have more impact and bass then mine... which left me wondering if...

I cannot figure out what you call the little protective rings or sleeves that people place around/on their headphone amp tubes. What are those gizmos called and where can they be purchased? Do they serve a purpose other than protection? Do they help reduce microphonics?

Costco is having an excellent deal on the Vizio 47" LCD flat panel tv. Basically, $250 off MSRP. I bought it yesterday and it's pretty decent. Granted, the contrast ratio is low, but an excellent value for the money. Just passing the word along. ( No headphone out... btw. )
