Yea, XP2 has more mid bass compare with 3, and for RnB fast music, the mid bass can really perform and blend in well for bass love, glad that your brother like it. It is pretty popular in the country where Jaben has an outlet.

personally i own a Adagio V, i like the sound compared with similar price range such as shure series and sennheiser, it's give me the crisp and detail i want. Have a tried on Heaven IV in a store, everything is fine however there's recessed in mid, for fast track kpop, it's fine thou. 

personally i will recommend Earsonic SM3v2 if you like the speed, impact of triple fi 10, SM3v2 can provide the dynamic and same effect, but with better mid enhanced 

personally i got 1 for my brother, tried them in a headphone store, despite the price it is really a good bargain, if you prefer good bass, this definitely is a good. Besides, i like the sleeky feeling on the housing.
