XDuoo XD-05 Portable Dac/Amp Introduction - Impressions
Yeah I use a pair of HD600's out of the front 3.5mm and always have my Logitech Z602's plugged into the back line out. Whenever I power on the Z602's they produce sound and my HD600's don't turn off unless I turn the volume nob down to right before the unit switches off.- TheFragileOne

Has anyone here messed with the Buffer Settings for the TUSB Control Panel? And does anyone have preferences for which DAC filter you guys use?- TheFragileOne

The Schiitstorm: Next-Gen Magni 2 and Modi 2 Family!
Yeah they do. Gotcha I'm trying to decide between Stack or xDuoo XD-05 for size factor in college and price difference ($160 compared to $300). But I really want to get the Stack. Why do you use a Valhalla and Bimbi for your 770's compared to Stack? I noticed we have similar taste, B3Pro1...- TheFragileOne

The Schiitstorm: Next-Gen Magni 2 and Modi 2 Family!
Yeah I feel it is worth it for power at least, and any sound benefits is just a bonus. Well that's good you're my reference haha! Right, but I don't need any of that unless I was planning to get the Modi 2 Uber just to match designs. Does "powered" speakers mean the amp powers it, or the...- TheFragileOne

The Schiitstorm: Next-Gen Magni 2 and Modi 2 Family!
Hey there everyone. I have a few quick questions as I'm considering a Schiit Stack (Uber or non). My main desktop headphones I power are my DT-770 Pro 80Ohms, and Sony XBA-A3 IEM's, so I'm not sure I'd get a benefit of having this setup? I'm running a Xonar DG which isn't that great but it does...- TheFragileOne

OPPO Relases updated HA-2SE Headphone Amplifier With New ESS Sabre32 Reference ES9028-Q2M DAC
Yeah hopefully they'll just end up making the cable eventually. But I do have 2 micro-B to USB-C adapters from my exploding Note7 and the new Note7. I'm still waiting on reviews of the HA-2SE.- TheFragileOne

Please report back if you find a solution. I don't want to waste $300 for something I can't use correctly on my Note7.- TheFragileOne

OPPO Relases updated HA-2SE Headphone Amplifier With New ESS Sabre32 Reference ES9028-Q2M DAC
We're Apple now. Except it works perfectly on Apple devices. How's the support for Android devices like the Note7? Also why was micro-B chosen over USB-C? I know currently that there are more devices on micro-B, but USB-C is the future and more devices will have it. Even a cable from you...- TheFragileOne

When will the HA-2SE be released? Was thinking of picking up a HA-2 refurb but want to wait for the SE since it apparently cures the hiss, which worries me.- TheFragileOne

Sony XBA-A3 vs. DUNU DN 2000j vs. DUNU TItan 1
I just got the XBA-A3's about 2 weeks back while in Japan. I listened to them against pretty much most things and they fit my preferences the best. I didn't try the Dunu's though so I can't give you a perfect comparison. Also I listen out of a rMBP, iPhone 5s or Note7. The XBA-A3's have an...- TheFragileOne

Right side louder/cleaner than left side of new XBA-A3's?
Actually no it's definitely louder in the right side. With my 5s and Note7 it's louder in right, unless I switch my left earbud to the large size, but then that side is louder, and a different sound signature honestly. But messing where the sound balance is fixes it. But I really don't know how...- TheFragileOne

Right side louder/cleaner than left side of new XBA-A3's?
I think it was just fit (hopefully). Today it sounds louder in the left, so I think all is okay and I'm just a crazy person. Loving these IEM's at least!- TheFragileOne

Right side louder/cleaner than left side of new XBA-A3's?
Not sure if this is the right sub for this, but I recently purchased a pair of Sony XBA-A3's while in Japan and I love them. But I feel like the right channel is slightly louder/fuller than the left side? It sounds like the music is coming ever so slightly more from the right side. If I use...- TheFragileOne

Sony XBA-A2 vs XBA-A3?
Gotcha, let me know how that goes. I can't test the feel of the cables because they're attached with like thick tape to the headphone so people don't steal them, but even with the big tape the A3's don't bother me too much honestly. I wore the A2's over the ears because I didn't realize they...- TheFragileOne

Sony XBA-A2 vs XBA-A3?
Yeah the Z5's didn't seem worth it to me, although they did sound nice. Really? But then you have microphonics when wearing them down. I listen for a while usually but sometimes I take them out like for class or I'll wear only one in and one out of the ear. The A3's are also ported while the...- TheFragileOne

Sony XBA-A2 vs XBA-A3?
I'm in Japan right now and had the opportunity to listen to both these and the Z5's. I feel the A3 is very comparable to the Z5's but I don't think the price difference is worth it. But to me, it almost seems like the A2's are a better deal than the A3's. I felt the highs were louder but a bit...- TheFragileOne

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)
Ah yeah I remember I read that. Very strange and I agree false advertising isn't cool. Doesn't change my purchase though. No clue why there's so much different opinions on which is bassier, but I'm sure I'll be happier overall with the IM70s.- TheFragileOne

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)
I believe the aluminum is inside the shell or it's just the back AT plate. I read in the discovery thread it's assumed the driver is connected to the back plate so it isn't touching plastic but I have no clue. I've heard that, but the Havi's fit in my ear well (hurt after a while though)...- TheFragileOne

You've convinced me. I still don't know how I feel about the color (I'll be walking around Uni with Ferrari red in my ears) but they sound like the right buds for me! Need IEM's under $100 with sound characteristics like DT770 80Ohm
If you also enjoy a V-shaped signature I really wouldn't recommend the RE-400's. Those were on my considerations as well but according to everyone here they really lack the oomph that I want. Also the build quality is questionable. I haven't listened to them though but this is just what I've...- TheFragileOne

Need IEM's under $100 with sound characteristics like DT770 80Ohm
So for the most part I've narrowed it down between the IM70, A71, and the MA750i but I'm open to suggestions. Any info between these would be appreciated!- TheFragileOne

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)
Oh really? I've been reading into them more and now it's making more sense. Really hard decision as I feel i might like IM70's more for the clarity but I really am a basshead for the rumble. How's the rumble in your IM70's? Can you feel it? Could you listen to these three songs (1, 2, 3, sorry...- TheFragileOne

Thanks for the info! I don't think the A71's would be for me then as I am slightly sensitive to sibilance since I listen to my music slightly loud for the bass. By "elevated bass starting from around 25Hz" do you mean that's when you can start to hear/feel it? Well I'm going to be using these...- TheFragileOne
