How to connect ath m50 + fiio e5 portable amp to Ps3 ?
I'm not quite sure, I have a FiiO E11 amp, and it seems the FiiO amps tend to be a bit touchy with certain 3.5mm cables because I've had troubles using certain brands and ended up just buying an LOD for my iPod. I see where you are going with using the amp to control the volume though, it would...- Bassix

Pandora's music quality?
Quote: 64kps? I'm not quite sure that's believable since the quality doesn't sound that bad at all. Do you have a source? -

Quote: This agitates me a lot. "When LP made good music." They still do, you can't expect a band to make the same sounding music every album for their entire career. Sure, I personally think their old stuff is better, but that doesn't mean they should keep doing the exact some... -

Thank you for those of you who responded. I must rephrase what I would like though, I want modern acoustic rock. The music that was given is older, and is too slow of a tempo to enjoy for me personally. All The Best <3 -
Pandora's music quality?
What is the bit rate on the music that's on Pandora? Just curious because I've been listening to it quite often to expand my musical knowledge. All the best <3 -

Just started to get into acoustic rock, no heavy drums, just guitar, a great voice, and lyrics that are blissful. Examples: (All Yellowcard <33) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28ff58on9HM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WenqL_CKXFg... -

M50's are currently on sale for about $126, and you can save up to get a nice amp to go along with them if you could. They don't disappoint ^_^- Bassix

Which to buy? (ATH-M50 vs ATH Pro700MK2 vs DT770 Pro)
Quote: I've tested these personally, I didn't like them very much, they look really nice, but I didn't enjoy the sound quality of them. Also, my current budget is $200, so it would definitely go over how much I'm looking to pay for new headphones.- Bassix

Which to buy? (ATH-M50 vs ATH Pro700MK2 vs DT770 Pro)
Okay so my budget has been ~$200 and I've read SO MANY REVIEWS EVERYWHERE. On here, on Amazon, on steriophile, and a number of other websites. The answer I'm looking for is which of these headphones to buy, if any. I've made a few threads, and this will be the decider of which of these I will...- Bassix

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum
Quote: D2000's are discontinued at this point and time, so the price will be going up from here on out. I've amazing things about them, and how they are the king of bass. It's a shame I can't afford them. The custom one pro's seem great, extremely customizable, and great bass. Not sure...- Bassix

Basshead Headphones Choice~
So I've narrowed my choices down to 4 headphones. I want maximum bass without sacrificing other aspects of the music too much. I have a FiiO E11 amplifier with an LOD cable. M-Audio Q40 - Cheaper than most, heard about good bass, but lacks sound stage. DT-770 Pro 80 - Currently out...- Bassix

Audio Technica ATH-Pro700mk2 Case Help?
So today I decided it would be nice to make a case for my headphones to store instead of putting them in a pleather bag. I figured I'd make it out of wood, and put a cover on the outside of it, or maybe just round the edges and stain it to look good. The only problems I'm having is thinking of...- Bassix

Headphones for the office: ATH-M50 vs. M-Audio Q40
Quote: ^He does have a point, I've owned M50's they are a beginner basshead's sort of headphone. They are comfortable, but not as comfortable as a lot of other headphones. Classical music doesn't sound very good on M50s and, from what i've heard, on Q40's. You'd be better off getting a...- Bassix

Headphones
Well, sort of a 'mainstream' opinion would be the Audio Technica M50's, they work very well, a lot of bass, and are ~$150 depending on where you get them, the color, and cable you get. There are also M-Audio Q40's which are said to have great bass. If you don't plan on getting an amp at...- Bassix

Ever seen something like this?
Quote: I don't fully understand why though, just listen to what you'd prefer to listen to on the move. I get awkward stares when I go out in public with M50's or Denon D2k's when I'm lucky enough to be allowed to borrow them from my friend, you don't see people walking around with...- Bassix

Audeze closed-back prototypes! Yeah, this is one of the headphones at the top of my wish list.
Looks great, people say that it isn't as heavy as it looks, but it truly looks heavy compared to most headphones out there. I've only worn Denon D2k's, AT's M50, and 700mk2's, and a few other non audiophile headphones. Also, I've never heard open headphones before, so I wouldn't know the...- Bassix
