The TD4's do benefit from some burn in, mine definitely changed after the first 30-50 hours. The bass increases in strength a fair bit.

Any intention to review the Xears TD4? I have them and really like them. According to others who have owned the TD-III and TD4, the sound is different due to the thicker cable (which reduces the amount of air that is vented through the strain reliefs.

I'm surprised there isn't more hype for these earphones, the TD4 is really turning out to be a fantastic buy for me! Build quality looks solid (but we'll see in 6 months' time), and sound is really good! I'd love to read more reviews from other people who have bought these! In the mean time...
