Beating K702 for gaming sub $300

Hello, I am trying to find a comfortable pair of headphones that have a great soundstage for mostly gaming. I've had the K702s for a long time now but never really wore them due to comfort reasons. They just feel too big on my head. I recently picked up the HD 598 as a gaming headphone but they...

Looking for a little bit better quality headphone.  Anyone know if the Sony MDR-1A leak?  I keep reading differing opinions

Closed, bass heavy & very low leakage?

Hi all,   I am moving to a new office that is much more open than the one I am currently in.  I am looking for a good pair of headphones that do not leak sound.  I am not looking for IEMs.   My favorite headphones are my Ultrasone Pro 900s.  I wish I could have these with no leakage but...

    HE-400 causing ear fatigue..

I have the new ones. I guess I shouldn't be having this issue with them then.

    HE-400 causing ear fatigue..

Volume hasn't been very high. Just feel much more fatigued after listening to the HE-400.

    HE-400 causing ear fatigue..

I have had my HE-400s for about a month now and I'm experiencing fatigue and slight ringing that I have never dealt with before.  I've used K702, Pro 900, DT 770 and never had these issues.   I'm guessing it is an issue with the treble on these?  I'm thinking the most logical solution is to...

Pictures of your computer rigs! Post them here!

Trying to improve the aesthetics of this setup.  Just added the 2nd shelf (needs painting) and put some speakers on the desk since I think my ears need an occasional break from headphone use.

    STX/Titanium HD vs Bifrost/Gungnir..

You've been a lot of help.  Thanks!   I think I will start saving up for the LCD-2 and pick up a cheaper DAC if I find the need.

    STX/Titanium HD vs Bifrost/Gungnir..

The upgrade in DAC is too minimal or the headphones I use aren't good enough to really notice a difference?

    STX/Titanium HD vs Bifrost/Gungnir..

I am looking for comparisons from those who own both an STX or Titanium HD and a bifrost or gungnir.  I currently own both an STX and a Titanium HD (currently using HD) and am contemplating whether a DAC upgrade would be worth it.     So if you have both or you own the soundcard and an...

    Why a DAC

Would like an answer to this as well.  I own an X-Fi Titanium HD and am having trouble justifying a DAC purchase.  I have a noisy computer and that's the only thing that is possibly pushing me towards a purchase.

    HE-400 & LCD-2 question.

Thank you.  I think that cemented my purchase.  Appreciate the replies.

    HE-400 & LCD-2 question.

I don't have a small head but I read a lot of people say the HE-500 (or maybe it was HE-6) headband was really large.  I have an average sized head I would say.  More narrow though..

    HE-400 & LCD-2 question.

So I'm about to buy one of these headphones.  I listen to a lot of bass heavy music and I have chosen these two out of the bunch.  I have two questions.   1.  Are the headbands on the HE-400s as bad as the HE-500/HE-6?  I read multiple reports that the headbands were rather large and weren't...

New amp (Schiit Lyr) causing buzzing/crackling in right ear (not constant)

Well that's upsetting to hear.  I really hope I don't have to wait another 2 weeks if I have to send it back.

New amp (Schiit Lyr) causing buzzing/crackling in right ear (not constant)

Also, it seems like the problem takes a few minutes to start happening.  It seems once the tubes warm up the problem starts occurring.  If I disconnect for a while and then power up there is no problem present.

New amp (Schiit Lyr) causing buzzing/crackling in right ear (not constant)

I just received a Schiit Lyr and am having issues with it.  I am not sure if this is a grounding problem because it is not a constant noise and is only in one ear.  Every 30 seconds or so (sometimes longer) there will be a buzz/slight crackle in the right ear of my headphone.  I am using brand...

Amp to pair with ultrasone pro 900

I'm currently pairing these headphones with my Asus essence stx but I was looking for an upgrade. As you can assume from the headphone choice, i like bass heavy music. Any ideas in the $200-$450 range? Thanks

Upgrading from Asus xonar essence amp

Hello all. I would like to continue using the asus xonar as a DAC but I want to upgrade to a desktop amp. I am using ultrasone pro 900s and I generally like bass heavy music. Could anyone give me a decent amp that would benefit me in the $150-300 range (or cheaper if it's an upgrade). Thanks!
