Sen HD 598, recommendations for sound card and an amp
I'd like to get some advice on what I need to get the most of these headphones. I just ordered them used and I'd like to be ready by the time they arrive. I know this is a common thread and I did search this forum before posting and found quite a few "Do 598s need amps" questions. And I have...- vanillasnake21

Open air inear headphones /earphones
I found the ones I had they're called Bose IE2. But they're 185!? I bought them for 50 from target. Is there anything similar Bose makes or other manufacturers make? These phones have a mesh on the head instead of being fully plastic so that gives them this open air design, but they're not...- vanillasnake21

Open air inear headphones /earphones
I am looking for earphones. That is they should be inserted in your ear instead of sitting on top of your head with a band. Not sure if they're called in-ear or something else. Basically like those in your avatar, but with an open back, so they would leak noise in and leak music out.- vanillasnake21

Open air inear headphones /earphones
they're not open back! That's the most important thing for me. I'm not looking for the cheapest, I'm sure they're good quality but I really want something to what I had before. If someone can at least give me a name for the bose open back headphones they used to sell so I can look it up on ebay...- vanillasnake21

Open air inear headphones /earphones
I'm looking for open back / open air earphones. I've bought a pair from Bose about 5 years ago from target but I cut the cable by accidnt and couldn't reattach them again. Anyways I'm looking for the same ones, I just don't know what they're called and bose website doesn't seem to have them...- vanillasnake21

Best way to drive Sennheiser HD 600?
Thanks for the suggestion, after reading much, I realized that HD 600 is going to run me close to 1g if I want to hear it properly. But X2 or even hd592 is something like $180 with no amp needed. So I think I'll stick with that for now.- vanillasnake21

Best way to drive Sennheiser HD 600?
Hi, I'm thinking of investing some money, about $500-$550 into an audio system, and after some research decided to settle on HD600. I have a very large electronics boutique nearby and have tried a few models including this one and they all sound very average (to me at least) without any amp...- vanillasnake21

Best open back earbuds with the most 3D soundstage ($ range 300-600)
I actually meant earbuds, because I didn't really liek the Shure 535s. I'm looking for open-back (or whatever it's called) earbuds (not the ones that go deep into the canal) they also have to <not> be sound isolating. Basically I'm looking for a very 3D sound, and the most airiest bass.- vanillasnake21

Weird Thing happen to washed headphone ?
That definitely is weird, but I would explain it by the fact that in most headphones the vibrating membrane is made out of a particular density of cellophane. Since cellophane is basically very thin plastic, it is subjective to heat and to a lesser extent to moisture/pressure. I believe if the...- vanillasnake21

Best open back earbuds with the most 3D soundstage ($ range 300-600)
Hi, I'm pretty new to audio equipment but I recently bought Bose IE2 earbuds for $100 and I loved how they sounded. The treble is so-so but the bass is deep and fast. They are open-air so you can hear your surroundings (which is what I prefer). I browsed around and did a few serches but it seems...- vanillasnake21
