Someone reviewed the MDR MA500 yet? i must say that i like the sound of my HD 650 much more than my slighty modded HD 580's...they sound sth too much in the trebles, causing me headaches after some hours, and the 650's sound is more refined, have a bit more bass, too.

My HD-580 has the HD 600 Grills, HD 650 Cable, and HD 650 Head Strap so far. But both sound different....listened to both on my Essence STX with OpAmp Mod...my HD 650 are stock, sounding somehow more kind of "laidback"...hard to tell...and got a little more Bass...i think.

Is it true that the driver units are the same as the HD 600's? because many ppl say the HD580/HD600 sound equal.

How good are these "Momentum" Headphones really? <200gr. a Pair sounds way light for me...without reading all 50+ Pages here, i don't believe they're a match for the HD 650's....i'd personally upgrade for a HD 700 Pair or the Grado SR1 *if* i'd have the Money yet...

i've used the X-Fi Extreme Music since 2005 it was released (Retail) but the Soundquality is nothing against The Essence STX, i'm way glad i've bought this Card months ago. Apart from that, i dont play Games, so i am way happy with stereo, don't need 5.1, 7.1, THX, Dolby Theatre and -whatever....

well, technically, the LME49860NA is quite the same like the 49720NA, the only difference is that the -860NA covers +/- 22 V max, and the -720NA +/- 17 Volts. But the -860NA sounds a bit different, maybe because of extra resistors inside the OpAmp? who knows...i like the sound to be more...
