    Monoprice 8320 has been updated!

I see they still kept that mess of a cable lol.  At least those things can take a lot of abuse.

How's the new Blox model compared to the Hisound Livings?

Philips SHE 9700 vs Philips SHE8500

Quote:   Yeah there was someone on Amazon selling what seemed to be used or refurbished SHE9700s for cheap.  A bunch of us decided to buy them and they were fine.  The stock tips were pretty awful and they didn't come with extra ones.  Not sure if that guy is still selling them though...

Philips SHE 9700 vs Philips SHE8500

Quote:   Exact opposite actually.  There was also a time last year where members were finding 9700 for $6-$9 on Amazon lol.  So they were just buying those over the 3580.

***Earbud Guide - 22 Earbuds compared***

I'm really enjoying the Living.  I can give up the bass quantity for soundstage.

Yuin PK2 or PK3 for jpop/kpop.  You want something warm since bass is kinda emphasized in those genres.  You could try M2C but female voices may become fatiguing.  Also alot of those tracks the trebles are boosted for some reason (T-ara songs would be good examples).   PAA-1 is good, but...

***Earbud Guide - 22 Earbuds compared***

Livings came in, I don't have enough time for a good input yet but I will say that I prefer this clean analytical sound over warmness in earbuds.

I heard the Livings respond well to equalizing, wouldn't that kinda help with the bass?

I heard the differences were just cosmetic, not quite sure though. Quote:

The white PAA-1s?  Yeah build quality on the housing feels very nice.  Probably because of that glossy layer.   I have a pair of burned in Livings coming in next week thanks to tomscy2000.  Hope they sound great!   Oh yeah, about the PAA-1, I think that mono'ish sound you're getting is...

Listening to the PAA-1 right now.   Soundstage is airy, wide, but it's like a straight line.  Warm sounding, perhaps too much midbass.  Uppermids and highs can be harsh at times.  Well, I only paid $15 for them, hopefully these burn in well :p

Monster Beats By Dr.Dre Studio vs V-moda Crossfade LP vs Sennhesier HD428 review .

My only issue with the 428 is that they are really inefficient so you have to crank up the volume or use an amp.  But once the volume gets louder, it distorts quite easily.  If you can find them for $35 or less, then it's a steal.  There are better options to choose from at regular price though.

Would love to see a more focused review on the three Hisound products.

I'm skeptical of the Pros being better than M2C.

Need help recognizing pair of Coby earphones

I received this a few months ago as a gift and never really bothered to try them.  Build quality feels a lot better than your average $15-$20 Coby earphone.  Anyone recognize these?  I tried googling and checking the Coby site and no dice.  Are these stock buds?

The PANASONIC RP-HTF600-S headphones. More fun than the HD650?

I'm using RPGWizard's EQ setting on foobar and I'm really enjoying it.  If you tone down the mid upper bass they sound much better imo.

    The discovery thread!

Yeah they were definitely used but I only paid around $10 and have not had any issues with them yet. Quote:

best earphone/earbud (not in-ear) under 50 usd ? (braided cords?)

http://www.head-fi.org/t/441400/earbuds-round-up   http://www.head-fi.org/t/531063/earbud-guide-14-earbuds-compared   Blox M2C are out of stock right now and it's really hard to find a pair for sale on here because there's so little of them in circulation.  I still want a pair :/

New Beats pro to be released in March 2012?

$320 will have him conform and fit in with all the popular kids though :)

    Best earphones around 25$?

The best earphone with the warmth you are describing in that price range would be the BEB 328r.  The bass extends pretty well and it gives the PK3 a run for its money.

***Earbud Guide - 22 Earbuds compared***

I'm still not quite sold on the PAA-1 yet.  I know the old models used to be on par with PK3s and MX760s, but I need more input lol.   I'm still waiting on the Blox M2C to be restocked this month unless I can find someone who's selling theirs here.

The PANASONIC RP-HTF600-S headphones. More fun than the HD650?

So I took off the foam covering the drivers, I didn't really hear a difference in the mids but the bass seemed to extend down a tad further.
