I'm getting an iphone 4s 16gb. Do any of you who have an iphone know what i should expect?
I know I'm not helping... But my iPhone 4 sounds AMAZING with the Shure SRH840. So good that I don't even bother using a pocket amp. I think as long as you are not a basshead, the 4s will work great for you. If you do crave for a lot of bass, I suggest the original Samsung Galaxy or the Nexus S...- st4r0c3an

Looking for portable closed cans that sounds like open ones
Having tried a few closed cans and the only one that actually sounds closed to an opened one is SRH840. Classical music sounds pretty good on those, and they are usually closed cans' biggest weakness. While they sound amazing out of my amp, they also don't sound that bad out of my 3gs. The clamp...- st4r0c3an

Grados for classical?
i think the ms1 does a decent job with string instruments in classical music. the positioning isn't too bad either but the lack of depth makes me frown. i can definitely enjoy classical music with those but in no way would they be my main cans for that genre.- st4r0c3an

Alessandro MS-1 vs Shure SRH-840?
I own the MS-1 and just purchased a pair of SRH840 yesterday. I thought SRH840 would do well in the genres MS-1 lacks in. However, if you are only going to listen to rock, I can vouch that MS-1 excels in them. I am not a big fan of MS-1 for techno though, because it feels too fatiguing.- st4r0c3an

ER6i VS iM716 mods and tips
http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/pus...to-ear-377517/ That thread, haha. I am unable to judge if it is because of their inability to follow directions or other wise though the information that is provided. I had a hard time believing IEMs could cause any damage at all before reading that.- st4r0c3an

ER6i VS iM716 mods and tips
There are some people(or was it only one person while the others only experience pain?) on this forums who damaged their ear recently from using er6i... I may be paranoid but I would no longer recommend it to people I care about.- st4r0c3an

Postie looking for good cold weather Circumaural cans around $100 Canadian
I was also looking for such a headphone, but I settled with a pair of JVC RX700 instead of the D1001. They seem to be a bit bigger so I guessed they will be better at keeping my ears warm (though it probably doesn't work like that in reality)- st4r0c3an

HD555 sounds... AMAZING
I've sold my HD580 around a week ago and have not listened though my home set up since tonight. I plugged in my HD555, expecting it to lack detail with no bass what so ever as I have remembered... But to my surprise, they sound extremely detailed and the bass is very impacting. They even sound...- st4r0c3an
