Got a question..What causes the static sound when I turn the volume knob. Is it dirty or do I need  new volume controller?

I wanted to do some tube "rolling" Play around see what sound come out..Any suggestions Mad comes with 12B4 >? 12AX7>? Thanks

I have been reading many threads on this forum about tubes. Can't seem to find the answer. I have a Dared VP 16 and a Mad Ear Hd and have been doing a bit of tube rolling. I was just wondering how long to stick with a tube before giving up on it.

I have this card and just noticed that the TRS are balanced can anybody tell what difference is between the RCA and the TSR. Does it matter? I plug into the Pre-amp of my Dared VP16 Thanks swappable socket (Unbalanced RCA with -10dBv or Balanced TRS with +4dBu ) Link ESI - Juli@

Pulled 2 of these out of a 1940's floor standing radio. On the side it says EL MTT. These are Chrome dome 6V6GT. Wondering if any body new the date of these tubes.. Dropped them in my amp and they sound great. Looking for 2 more

Picked up a new Esi Juli@ and cannot get it to run with foobar and ASIO. It will work in Direct Sound and works well in Winamp. I have changed all the setting in foobar to Juli@ and it shows a signal but no sound. Any help would be appreaciated

I am having a problem setting up a Dac (VDA-1) to my 1212m using foobar. I am getting a signal to the patchmix but no sound.. Going nuts here..... Any help would be appreaciated. Thanks

Is the Terratec 6 fire 24/96 a 5.1 sound card or just stereo?..having a hard time setting this up for 5.1. Went to the web site and can't find any info. Any input would be great Thanks

Thinking about getting the EMU 404, have some questions.. I have a Terratec DMX 6Fire 24/96 and play music thru Kliosch 5.1's, Would the quality of sound be the same? I have a NAD 2200 and a NAD 1155 Pre-Amp. I would like to connect the 404 to and use my HD 580's. would this work? and...

Have a chance to pick one up cheap. It is 3 years old but has not been used in 2 years. Do they go bad? If so can you get replacement parts? Thanks
