Thinking about getting the EMU 404, have some questions..

I have a Terratec DMX 6Fire 24/96 and play music thru Kliosch 5.1's, Would the quality of sound be the same?

I have a NAD 2200 and a NAD 1155 Pre-Amp. I would like to connect the 404 to and use my HD 580's. would this work?

and for $99 it seems like a good deal.

You need an amp for the 0404. Search this forum for pbirkett's comments on the sound quality differences between the Terratec and 0404.

The 0404 is a better-sounding card than the 6Fire. However, while the differences will be apparent with your Klipsch speakers, a quality headphone system (like your HD580) and better speakers (Swan M200s or monitor/amp combo) will reveal the differences more easily.
