Quote: you would say the DDM2's are better than the MTPG's? i've been looking for a decent upgrade to my golds, they sound real good but i want something with a larger soundstage...- daMdaM

IEMs with better bass then GR07
OP- why not consider monster turbine pro gold's? the copper has a bit less bass, but the golds match up to IE8's bass, with a bit less of the ie8's mid-bass hump and a bit more sub-bass Quote: o yeh? i may be interested...- daMdaM

Sony MDR-EX600 vs Vsonic GR07
the ex600 has a much better soundstange than the GR07? I've been eyeing both, currently own MTPG's which soundstage is strangely more vertical than horizontal... been looking to upgrade/sidegrade. Although I also do feel I've been spoiled by the bass out of them, I don't want either the ex600 or...- daMdaM

What are the best IEM for £100 - £200 ?
Quote: I agree 100%, minus the monster turbine line... check out the Monster Turbine Pro Gold's, they are regarded very well here on head-fi. Hard to match the bass of them with even top tier IEM's i have a denon d7000 to compare to, and yes, while it's apples to oranges, the...- daMdaM

Best Amature type IEM for hip/hop and rap
I never heard a w3 but own MTPG and I must say they have some killer bass, while still keeping a surprisingly well balanced mids and highs; definitely more bass biased, people here say its hard to match the quantity of bass (quality to a degree) even with top tier IEM's I've been looking...- daMdaM

Balanced IEMs with punchy bass - 300$ and below
anyone have first hand comparisons on Monster Turbine Pro Gold vs a JVC FX700? I'm looking for an upgrade to my MTPG's, something on another level... the gold's are great, esp in the bass department, but it is a tad flabby and muddy- although still sounds decent across the board would the...- daMdaM

Modifications to Denon AH-Dxxxx - should I?
I hear the LA mod's change the stock sound drastically, so if you like the sound of you stock 5000's then perhaps just upgrade to the ah-d7000? I'm also wondering about this, currently owning a stock d7000, I like the sound but am always curious as to what a LA-D7000 will sound like... ...- daMdaM

Which Grados are best on the low end?
grados are def not recommended for electronic music, but IMO they still sound pretty good. You can mod a pair of sr-60i's that only cost about 69.00 to begin with(new) and the mods actually increase the bass huuuge (although a bit bloated). I found that my modded sr-60i's actually have more bass...- daMdaM
