Re-gluing tube bases
Good point, I doubt they spent the time or money to engineer the materials to have similar coefficients of expansions.- diskostu

Re-gluing tube bases
I have a few tubes with loose bases. From what I have found, most people use superglue. Does anyone have any experience with superglue? I also found a product for this specific problem, 2A3-Mesh Datasheet. Emission Labs. Has anyone use this?- diskostu

I read that people were considering an ecc2 adapter for the extreme. Did anyone get it and how does it sound with 6DJ8/6922? -David- diskostu

Questions for Singlepower Extreme Owners
I guess I haven't owned a tube amp that can heat up a room . My only other experience with tubes is my Woo3. Since the tubes buzz when the amp is warming up, I'm sure it's tube warm-up. Thanks for all the replies.- diskostu

Questions for Singlepower Extreme Owners
I just got the stock Extreme and I have a several questions about it. I'm using a pair of Tung-Sol 5998 and a Sylvania 6SN7 GT. How much heat is it suppose put out? My Woo3 gets warm with the WE 421A and Phillips E88CC's but the Extreme is quite a bit warmer. During startup do you experience...- diskostu

Woo6 versus PPX3
I'm intrigued by the GE 6DJ8 grey glass because of jamato8's recommendation. I noticed there is also a "clear" glass version. Are there sonic differences between the two?- diskostu

Is it ok to mix lead solder with lead free solder? I want to do some soldering on a PCB that was soldered with lead free solder but all I have is lead solder. Thanks- diskostu

NAD C 521BEE Remote Problems
Herandu, Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give them a try as soon as I have time. It's good to know it could be the remote and it's not me going crazy. -David PS: I originally thought it was the batteries but new batteries didn't help the situation.- diskostu

NAD C 521BEE Remote Problems
The remote to my NAD C 521BEE cd player has always been acting weird. For some strange reason after a few days it'll just stop working, the LED won't light up when a button is pushed. I would have to reset the remote by taking the batteries out or fulling powering down the CD player. Has anyone...- diskostu

Sony MDR-G52 parts

Sony MDR-G52 parts
I have a pair of Sony MDR-G52. I like them because I can throw them in my backpack without worrying about breaking them. One of the rubber ear piece broke because the rubber aged and got brittle. Does Sony sell a replacement ear piece and if so, where can I buy it? Thanks -David- diskostu

Storage case for Canal/Ear phones ?
I'm looking for a new case to store my Shure e4. I don't like the case that came with the e4's because it's too small; I have to coil up the cord tightly to make it fit in there. I need something that's durable because I'll have the case in my backpack. The Ultimate Ears metal case looks...- diskostu

good service experience with Etymotic
I was in same situation. I had my ER6 for a couple of years now. When I recently removed the ear tips for cleaning the silcone sheathing slid off. Etymotic ER6 Issue
The decals are underneath the clear silicone covering, that covers the earphone. They have ER*6, L or R written on them. I know they won't affect the sound.
