Perhaps they are targeting different market sectors.  It seems the t50p is directed at the upscale B&W p5/apple users while the dt1350 appears to be a direct shot at the HD25 1-11 D.J crowd.  I believe there is room for both of the t50p and dt1350 in the lineup.

Addendum to my last post:  If anyone has experience with amping the t50p, would you mind giving your impressions and the amps used?

I am quite pleased with the clarity of my t50p's.  I do not consider them veiled but rather quite detailed.  I am a big fan of my beyer's.  As some have mentioned there may be some quality control issues with these considering the wide array of opinions.  Maybe I'm one of the lucky one's to have...

Agreed, I enjoy the TMA's on just about everything. I think the TMA-1's are best on music that makes you want get up and move.

Have you tried adjusting the eq?  I know a lot of purist are opposed to this but it really helps.   I really like the TMA-1 and would have no problem keeping it for all types of music.  I also really like the t50p and would have no trouble keeping it either.  Thus my dilemma.

I live in IN and all I see are Monster Beat Studio's and Pro's on high-school kids.
