Comfortable (Velour?) replacement pads suitable for JVC HA-RX900

Hi,   I have a pretty old (5+ years) JVC HA-RX900 which I kinda like. However, the pads are flaking off badly and they're not so comfortable as well. I have a Beyer DT770 and I really like their pads, super comfortable.   Can anyone tell what pads would fit the RX900's ?   Thanks! Bar.

3.5mm jack replacement for bent jack on JVC HA-RX900

Thanks dj1001!   What is this jack ? Is it better than the rubber one you provided in an earlier link? Seems sturdier (but not gold plated) :)   Thanks!

3.5mm jack replacement for bent jack on JVC HA-RX900

The strain relief we're talking about is on the jack side, not the cup side. Or am I misunderstanding what you meant?

3.5mm jack replacement for bent jack on JVC HA-RX900

Thanks dj1001,   That's pretty much what I've been looking for. It is not a problem to cut the old jack from the cable and soldier this one?   Also - Is this the best strain-relief rubber I can get? The one that came with my JVC seems better ?   Thanks! Bar.

3.5mm jack replacement for bent jack on JVC HA-RX900

I have no problem soldering it, I'll take it to someone good at it :)   I just need to know a cheap and good replacement jack I can buy online, and what else do I need to buy to make the connection between the jack and the cable look like in the picture (that rubber part).   Thanks!

3.5mm jack replacement for bent jack on JVC HA-RX900

Hi,   The 3.5mm jack on my JVC HA-RX900 has been bent by accident and I want to replacement. Can you suggest a good and cheap jack replacement and a place to buy it online?   How can I get the same rubber connection between the cable and the jack, just like the original jack had (see...

Hiss with Magni + Modi + DT770 250ohm on high volume

Why would it bring it out specifically with the Magni/Modi?   It happens with a lot of songs, I think perhaps every song with a lot of silence in it, in high volume.

Hiss with Magni + Modi + DT770 250ohm on high volume

Hi,   I recently got a new Magni + Modi stack for my DT770 250 ohm. My setup is Laptop > Modi > Magni > DT770.   One thing that I noticed is a subtle Hiss sound, that is only there when playing something (doesn't happen when the headphones are connected but the PC is not playing anything)...

Metal is bent on new DT770 250ohm

Any recommendations on how to do the bending? By hand?   Also, the headphones are lopsided - the cup do not meet at the center. I read this was an issue for someone else 2 years ago, but no one answered. Any idea?   Thank you, Bar.

Metal is bent on new DT770 250ohm

It doesn't affect the comfort quality. But I'm worried it will deteriorate the headband after sometime. Is it safe to take the headband apart with the screws and bend it the other way so it will be aligned?   I cannot return it...

Metal is bent on new DT770 250ohm

Hi,   It seems like the metal that retracts to the headband, on the left side, is a bit bent, which causes it to stick out.   Is this anything to be worried about? Should I just bend it the other way? :)   Some pictures:         Thanks!

    Can a Fiio E10 drive DT 770 250 Ohm sufficiently ?

I've heard so many good things on the DT770, not only from people who like bass.   I have the JVC RX900 and the Creative Aurvana live, and I don't know why - I like the RX900 better, even though the CAL should have better sound quality. I read that the DT770 are very fun - that's the type of...

    Can a Fiio E10 drive DT 770 250 Ohm sufficiently ?

I can't buy them on Amazon, since Amazon doesn't ship to where I live :) So I have to buy them at eBay :)

    Can a Fiio E10 drive DT 770 250 Ohm sufficiently ?

I'm currently using a JVC HA-RX900 with no amp/dac - so I guess the difference should be big? :)   stv014 - Thing is I cannot take them back after I buy them - I use ebay and the shipping is costly.   Is the 250 ohm version bassy enough? I'm not a real bass head, the bass on the HA-RX900 is...

    Can a Fiio E10 drive DT 770 250 Ohm sufficiently ?

And the E10 can drive the 250 ohm version without an issue?   What do you mean by most people? I've heard people saying one thing about the 80 ohm (that it has a warmer sound than the 250 ohm for example), and then other people saying that exact same thing on the 250 ohm version...  ...

    Can a Fiio E10 drive DT 770 250 Ohm sufficiently ?

Bump! Anyone? :)   Should I get the 80 ohm or the 250 ohm version if I have the E10 ?   I want to order but am a bit stumped with the Ohm versions (read every thread there is about it...)   Thanks.

    Can a Fiio E10 drive DT 770 250 Ohm sufficiently ?

Thanks,   Does changing to high gain in the E10 have a negative impact on sound quality?   In other discussions, I read that if you combine a high impedance headphones and a small amp, even if the volume is high enough - the headphones will be less "dynamic" (I have no idea what that means)...

    Can a Fiio E10 drive DT 770 250 Ohm sufficiently ?

Hi,   Question is in the subject - I bought a Fiio E10 and would like to get the 250 Ohm version of Beyer's DT 770. Can the E10 drive these headphones with ease?   Thanks for the help.

Fiio E10 as DAC + amp for JVC RX900 ?

Hi,   Will a Fiio E10 fit as a DAC + amp (laptop is the source) for a JVC RX900? Will these headphone benefit from it?   Thank you.

Can a modded JVC RX900 sound more accurate, like CAL! ?

Hello!   I have a JVC HA-RX900 and a CAL!.    I like the RX900 very much. Nice bass, much more comfortable to wear than the CAL and they seem much more durable. The thing is, the sound in the RX900 is very "warm" compared to the CAL.   Do the mods to the RX900 make the sound more accurate...

Long extension cable from TV to headphones - possible?

I guess that I need about 30 ft. Which cable should I buy then? :|   Can I just use regular soldering tin when soldering the plug?   Thanks! Bar.

Long extension cable from TV to headphones - possible?

Thanks for the explanation.   Network cables really work well for this? Aren't they too thin?   Why do I need 2 for each signal? plus and minus? and what are the 3 signals? :)   Thanks, Bar.
