Logitech's Squeezebox Touch - opinions sought on quality
I received my SBT last friday and I am very happy with it except the sound quality, yes the on board DAC is better than the computer sound card but it is not audiophile grade at least I think so. Maybe I prefer warm sound. Can any one recommend a good dac for me for under $1000? , currently what...- shingo43

New Audio-gd NFB-8 (WM)
is NFB-8 on the warm side or the neutral side? based on my understanding neutral is good for classical music and warm is good for vocal? I am looking for a DAC for the logitech squeezebox touch, and I like warmer sound, is NFB-8 a good choice?- shingo43

Logitech's Squeezebox Touch - opinions sought on quality
Is there a thread that has the A/B comparison for SBT's internal DAC vs external DACs? I have seen many people said the internal dac is very good and the external dac won't change much of the sound if it is under 1000 or so. Is that true? If so I'll save the money on the DAC then.- shingo43

Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-2
Quote: Have you compare HA-160D with some other SS amps? Is it true that LCD-2 has a better synergy with SS than Tubes? is HA-160D and 160 basically the same thing, but 160d has preamp options and a DAC?- shingo43

So after consideration I decided to either update the amp or the headphone. my new question will be which update will give you a better sound? a 1000 dollar headphone(my options are LCD-2 or used hd800) with Headamp Gilremore Lite or a 1000 amp(dac1 or wa6 or whatever you can suggest) with my...- shingo43

Closed headphones for quiet office use, recommendation?
Thanks for the suggestions. I did tons of research of both headphones, and also including the hd380 from senn. Seems like people think hd380 is better than hd280 in very way but people think hd380 is flatter than the m50s and m50s have enhanced high and low, am I right? I don't really like...- shingo43

Closed headphones for quiet office use, recommendation?
My current set up is Foobar(Flac/CD) + Asus essence STX + Denon D2000, I listen to pop and jazz and little bit classics. I want to repalce the Denon d2000 because I feel its sound is a bit cold for me, especially human vocal, sounds like they are too far away from you. and the D2000 is too...- shingo43
