I'm selling one Octavart Champs-élysées integrated DAC-AMP in great condition. Perhaps not very well-known in the NA headphone forums, but this integrated DAC-AMP is very well received in the Chinese forum. It has Bluetooth, USB, co-axial, and optical input, and can also be used as a...- Pabro

I'm selling one Hifiman Arya in mint condition. The headphone was bought in January 2021. The reason for sale is that it's been sitting inside the box since it was purchased, and I have too many headphones that I can listen to, so this one never gets much attention. Comes with the headphone...- Pabro

BTG-Audio Cable Impressions, Reviews and Discussion | Sunrise, Starlight & FitEar
Brian helped me with a cable re-termination job on a stock Sennheiser HD650 cable. He promptly finished the work and mailed the cable to me very quickly. The job is impeccable! Highly recommended!- Pabro

The Stax thread (New)
Nice setup. You won't be disappointed with the 407. I've been thinking about getting a 507 for a long time ... The one thing that prevents me from getting it is that the treble is still a little too bright to me. Just audit the 507 and 009 at Yama Inc. I think I am now officially...- Pabro

BEST closed back headphone for classical music
I recently tried the GMP 8.35 and GMP 450 Pro, and was totally blown away. I really don't understand why a company that makes such good headphone is not making any noise in the audiophile community. Among the two, I prefer the 8.35 since I can modify it to use in my portable rig. Such...- Pabro

Review: CharterOak Acoustics SP-1 (GMP 450 Pro)
So basically you tried to damp the peak in the higher frequency range, right? I think that makes the headphone less fatigue when listening. My only complain about the GMP 450 Pro is that it's treble is still too bright for me. Maybe my only choice of headphone is HD650. Quote:- Pabro

BEST closed back headphone for classical music
Thanks for the comments! Been reading a lot about the GMP 8.35 lately. The only issue is I hear people saying that they have a similar sound sig to K271. I think I have good ears, but I'm never a picky guy. So the fact that I don't like the K271 really confuses me a little. Maybe the...- Pabro

BEST closed back headphone for classical music
Just got the D7000, and spent a little time with it. Truly a very good headphone for classical music. Really sad that I'll need to part with them soon. How about GMP 450 Pro? From what I read they seem to be perfect for classical music. Although they are designed to be used in the...- Pabro

BEST closed back headphone for classical music
I'm not so sure about the ATH series. I heard they are good for vocal work, female voice, etc...But they seem to be a little too colored for classical music playback. Anyone agrees? I'm currently using AKG K271 MKII, but, I keep thinking the high frequency of this headphone is a little too...- Pabro

Quote: That's true. I know APureSound (APS) can do the recable, and there are several other vendors that can make HE60->STAX adapter. But the adapter is still very difficult to find. APS has good reputation; however, they seems to be in a slow mode these days...I kept hearing people...- Pabro

Little Dot MK VI / Little Dot MK VIII SE Owners Unite
IMHO, VIII is better for the high impedance headphone, like HD600, 650, 800. VI+ has to make conpromise between both high and low impedance, while VIII is devoted to high impedance. VI+ has to output more power in order to drive the K1000, since it has a relatively low impedance of 120...- Pabro
