    Hearing music in your mind

Quote: Well, if you're not a musician and you have this kind of musical imagery, then you're truly musically gifted. Point is... at first I thought I was unique because of this ability, but it seems pretty common If you want to learn music theory, there's this book that successfully...

    Hearing music in your mind

So it isn't uncommon then.. I guess it must be something that all musicians share.. do you play an instrument?

    Hearing music in your mind

Hey guys, I want to ask y'all if anyone can hear music in their head with no external stimuli.. Let's say, right now you're in front of your computer, and want to play, for instance, an orchestra in your head, are you capable to do this kind of thing? Anyone can hear music like they are...

Review: Fischer Audio FA-003 - a neutral champ!

Quote: Let's say that it must be noticeable, else it wouldn't be worth it,... right? =) How much noticeable

Review: Fischer Audio FA-003 - a neutral champ!

Quote: Hahaha I'd like to hear them through an amp too, but didn't get the chance to... yet. Huge improvement? Mind to explain? Do you think the FAs need amping? Last question: is amping worth the price?

Review: Fischer Audio FA-003 - a neutral champ!

The wood cups are really incredible! I tried the phone w/ the plastic cups for about 2 weeks then switched up to wood: it's just so much better.   Again, anyone tried amping the FAs?   I currently have like 400 hours burn-in and I feel like they really changed from the beginning

Review: Fischer Audio FA-003 - a neutral champ!

Quote: I have the FA-002w. They sound really good, they have a more open presentation than the stock FA-003, but I think you will experience some resonance in some cases. It's certain that the $100 extra won't get you a super-noticeable difference, but there definitely is a more open...

Quote: Did you  try without the HA02? We don't have enough comparison with/without amping with the FA-003

Review: Fischer Audio FA-003 - a neutral champ!

Anyone did a comparison between FA003 and other mid-fi hp, like the HD600/HD650? What is their position in the headphone ranking?

Review: Fischer Audio FA-003 - a neutral champ!

No, there must be some kind of screws, no? When they shipped me my LBR FA002 they included the FA003 cups and some screws to install it   If there's none, then I would say give it a go

I see no difference between Foobar2000/Wasapi and JRiver + Wasapi... you must be doing it wrong... I just tested it with the free version

What is the difference in sound between stock and dynamat, it's interesting but buying dynamat  here it not easy   Would it be possible to do woodies + dynamat combo?

How can an audio/media player kill another player in terms of SQ, aren't they using the same outputting method? Maybe J.River is coloring the music itself?

I had the chance to A/B them (somewhat) with the Grado SR325 Only had the chance to hear a Radiohead album (in rainbows) but they were very very close, couldn't tell any difference   @FlySweep   Woodies vs Dampened?

Are hi-fi headphones overhyped by audiophiles?

Quote: You have many points that I agree with, and I agree that it wasn't smart to get a HP that didn't fit my needs. You changed the rules of the game: Sound is subjective, and how your brain works with frequency isn't the same from one to another. I hope everyone could read this post...

Are hi-fi headphones overhyped by audiophiles?

Quote:   Oh alright, it may look ironic, but it's not. It's just a general impression. If I had to choose between those then I wouldn't trust anyone here, I would just go to the local shop, see if they own that specific model and try it for myself. It's like buying a chair; you don't...

Are hi-fi headphones overhyped by audiophiles?

Quote: I had the HD555 for a while. 595, 598 and 555 are all the same thing (not exactly, but they share the same wide soundstage. The sound signature however is quite the same), then you get a small upgrade called the HD600/HD650, then you get the noticeable upgrade that is the HD800

Are hi-fi headphones overhyped by audiophiles?

Quote: Because after $150 there's a void (if that's the correct term): I'm guessing companies create an illusion by improving the same model over and over (E.g. HD595, 598, 600, 650 they all sound pretty much the same) until you get to ~$1000+ when then you get a noticeable difference...

Are hi-fi headphones overhyped by audiophiles?

Quote: I have about the same SQ that that of the P6TD Deluxe. Good quality motherboards = usually good DACs   Yes, Eric_C, I'm sure there are <$250 hp that would fit my sound signature more than the one of the FA003 I'll probably try to get to an audioshop where they sell amps. Then...

Are hi-fi headphones overhyped by audiophiles?

What are good headphones then? If $250 isn't enough, then what is 'good'? $800? $1000? Way out of my budget.   I've always used FLAC 44.1khz for everything. I've tested electronic music, like Netsky, rock like Radiohead, Nirvana/Eric Clapton unplugged albums, the Beatles, Stevie Wonder, many...
