Upcoming Beyerdynamic Headphones - Custom One Tesla, Custom One Studio, T51p and amp A20
I just ordered a pair of T51p's from the Beyer website. Can't wait to see how they compare to my Amperior's.- elbastardo

Ok, my Naos 5000 died the other day and I replaced it with Gigabyte Krypton. You can swap feet out, between ceramic and teflon. Teflon is very smooth, while ceramic is very slick. On a cloth surface, the ceramic is a great blend of control and speed. DPI change on the fly, macros and weight...- elbastardo

Sennheiser Amperior Impressions Thread
I know what you mean. I was listening to Slayer - South of Heaven earlier and the bass drum just floored me. It's not the bassiest headphone I've heard, but I've never heard one this punchy. This is the funnest headphone I've ever owned. My Denons are getting jealous.- elbastardo

Sennheiser Amperior Impressions Thread
Balanced armature or dynamic IEM? IEM with dynamic drivers won't isolate any better than Amperior's, but balanced armatures will. Then again, BA's had issues with cohesive sound. Comfort is another issue with many in regards to IEM's. Some can get used to the tips, but I can not. 1 hour in and...- elbastardo

Sennheiser Amperior Impressions Thread
Just got a pair off of Amazon yesterday. First thing I had to do right off the bat, was do something about the cable. It was driving me nuts. Took my old HD600 cable, braided it, turned the cups upside down. Problem solved. Wow! The punchy bass, the impact, the shimmer of the treble all make for...- elbastardo

It may not be a tactile switch, but the context in which tactile is used can also mean the type of feedback that the fingers receive to let the fingers know the switch has engaged...and there are soft tactile red switches. They aren't all linear.- elbastardo

I pack my own. Farmers Gold. Cost .97 cents a pack. Leaves me enough money to...ahem...indulge in my not so cheap hobbies. If I don't feel like packing, then it's Marlboro Blacks. Tried Natural American Spirit yesterday...not worth the price.- elbastardo

I have a Mionix Naos 5000. Best mouse I've ever used. I use a claw/palm hybrid grip and have large hands. Very good fit and ergonomics. Rubberized finish doesn't get as hot as I thought it would. I also love the software to change the settings, though it was a pain in the rear to download. 28th...- elbastardo

I currently have a Filco tenkeyless Majestouch 2 w/brown switches. I had the same w/red switches, but it had the tenkey pad. I liked the tactile feel of the reds a little more, but tenkeyless is ideal to me, for gaming.- elbastardo

Sennheiser Momentum impressions thread
I am interested in buying a pair of these, but I heard they are a tight fit for big heads. From ear lobe, over the top of my head to the other ear lobe, I measure 18 inches or 460 mm. Can anyone tell me if the momentum extends far enough to cover that?- elbastardo

Very nice! I look forward to hearing your impressions. I've been on the fence between the T51p and the DT 1350.- elbastardo

It's hard to find any info on the T51p. I wonder if everyone is apprehensive because of the T50p's reputation?- elbastardo

New Beyer DT1350
I would consider the M500's if they isolated better, not to mention they are over $100 more than the 1350's- elbastardo

New Beyer DT1350
I read that some Best Buys carried the DT1350, unfortunately the local ones do not. I might have to take a trip to Dallas. There is a place to audition high-end Grados and Senns too, while I'm there.- elbastardo

New Beyer DT1350
Good stuff. Looks like I am going to pull the trigger on these next Friday. I love my D2000's, but they are a pain in the rear dealing with for portability. Not to mention they don't block out my wife's beastly snoring when listening in bed. Read up on the Amperior and HD25, but they looked a...- elbastardo

WORST headphone you ever heard?
My nephew has a pair of rastafarian looking Skullcandy's...they were horrible. Muddy mids, No bass impact or extension. No highs. Just a brick wall of bad sound. I don't remember ever hearing worse. What's really sad is that my nephew claimed that he could hear no difference between those and my...- elbastardo

What if you could only have one headphone....or two. What would you choose?
Only judging by cans I've actually heard and not dream cans, I would have to go with D2000's if I could only have 1. It's fun, rich and engaging. Sounds good out of my portable and my home rig. 2 sets would be LCD-2 for home and W4R's for portability.- elbastardo

Headphones you regretted buying the most
I hated the Sony XB700's (sounded like mids were being played through mud) and Hifiman RE0 (sounded good, but the fit was absolutely horrible.)- elbastardo
