That's a good call, sorry for the ambiguity.  Anyhow, I did get a response suggesting a L/R speaker test and that confirmed my notion, they are wired backwards.  Thanks though!

That certainly clears any ambiguity.  It would appear the T 51 Ps are in fact wired backwards.   Thanks for the help!

Yeah I triple checked. Wires are in the correct ears for the 650s. Matched the L/R markings with the markings on the headphones themselves. It seems like such an egregious error if the t51s are wired backwards... while I'm sure it is not common, is that not unheard of though?
