Hippo VB VS Eterna VS CKS-70
Ok, now I think i'm goiing to go for the eterna's. One question for anyone who owns it - does it have a deep insertion depth? I notice most pictures use a bi-flanges tip, would I be ok to use a sony hybrid? And how good it the earphone at staying in place? I dont want it to fall out all the...- balleballe

Hippo VB VS Eterna VS CKS-70
the CKS90 are £20 more than the CKS70 - and look a fair bit heavier. A bit concerned they might pop out with a bit of jogging. I really don't want to spend over £50 and all 3 mentioned products are just about £50- balleballe

Hippo VB VS Eterna VS CKS-70
As I understand it, hippo VB is all about sub-bass. Eterna is about mid-bass and CSK-70 is a bit of both - correct? I'm used to my Sony's and find too much rumble annoying - I assume I prefer mid-bass then? I want tight punchy large bass! The type of bass that moves a larger amount of...- balleballe

Difference between Sony MDR-EX85 pairs
Hi there. I bought a pair of EX85's from play.com 2 years ago and they recently stopped working so I sourced a new pair (oddsandpods). My original pair came in plastic packaging (similar to most earphones) and had the warranty and ownership booklet in many different languages. They were...- balleballe

Playaz N1
So glad I stumbled accross this thread! I am a basshead - my sony mdr-ex85's broke and i've been trying to replace them with something that has more bass. I tried the M9's and the bass lacks punch/thump and the overall sound sig is too harsh, not as laid back as I'd like (like my...- balleballe

where to buy "playaz n1"
Thanks, but they only have 3 IEM's - none of which are the N1's. They have 'sonia 2', 'audiofile reference AR100' and N3's The reason I wanted the N1's was due to their monsterous bass...don't suppose anyone's tried the N3's?- balleballe

Basshead needs new earphones. Narrowed it down but need help to decide which one!
I've read the midbass hump is what most casual listeners refer to as bass? I don't quite understand the difference between sub-bass and mid-bass, all I know is that i'm after a thumping bass sound, I've always considered my sony's to provide this but i've read reviews stating that their bass...- balleballe

ok great. I've heard the eterna V2 is not as good as the original and the ebay seller that had the original is now sold out. I can get a real good deal on both the s-jays (discontinued now) and the j-jays as well. The hippo VB with postage works out at £65 The Brainwavz M2 / vising...- balleballe

I've been put off by some people saying the treble is harsh. Also, I cannot find a place that sells them in the UK, or that ships to the UK. Thnks for your input- balleballe

Basshead needs new earphones. Narrowed it down but need help to decide which one!
So, my sony mdr-ex85's broke a while ago and i'm trying to replace them. I have tried a few IEM's and their base is seriously lacking when compared to mdr-ex85. I have narrowed it down to the following options: Radium's atomic bass Soundmagic's pl-11 Fischer Audio's eterna (off ebay)...- balleballe

Which sony earphone?
Hi there. I was using the mdr-ex85 for 2 years until the right ear stopped working. Although they are discontinued I can stil get them. I love the bass of sony's earphones. Nothing came close to my mdr-ex85's, for the price anyway... I'm stuck between another pair of mdr-ex85...- balleballe
