Android phones and USB DACs
I was actually considering making my own. I have a regular micro to mini usb cable, but I'd like to shorten it, and its not an otg host cable. Where can I find some info on how to modify/make my own?- b-rad

Android phones and USB DACs
That is outrageously overpriced! I'm gonna have to keep searching for something more affordable. Am I the only one who wants to use a portable amp/dac without a bunch of extra cabling? A regular otg cable and a usb to mini usb cable just seems excessive.. :-/- b-rad

An "OTG cable": Micro-A to Mini-B cable http://www.lindy.co.uk/05m-usb-otg-cable-black-type-micro-a-to-mini-b/31957.html That's exactly the type of cable I was looking for! It's really long though! 19" is way too much cable to stuff in your pocket. And idea where I can find one that's like...- b-rad

Android phones and USB DACs
From what I understand a USB otg cable is required. Not sure why though. I purchased a micro USB to mini USB cable and nothing happened. I have a go vibe mini USB dac, and it only works with the otg cable, plugged into the USB to mini USB cable..kind of excessive and unnecessary in my opinion...- b-rad

deffective hippo vb
I appreciate the reply. And unfortunately it isn't related to the seal. I'm using comply foam tips, but for kicks I tried the rubber seals that come with the VB, and all of them have a noticeable difference in sound between left and right channels. The first pair of phones I had were the eterna...- b-rad

help finding good ear-phones
well, after reading review after review i think i've finally decided on one. i think. haha i narrowed it down to the brainwavz m2/Visang r03, and the fischer audio eterna. v.2 is what is currently available and apparently they cleaned up a few of the bad habits the v1 picked up along the way. so...- b-rad

i was looking for vendors that sell the brainwavs m2/visang r03 and they all seem to be in the uk... i'll check the sources you mentioned :) also, how would you compare the brainwavz m3/visang r03 to the head direct reo? i think i've narrowed it down to those three, with the addition...- b-rad

haha thanks for the advice, i was checking out some of the iem's that were reviewed in the links marcus provided. i did want to get some insight however, if i could. if a headphone is said to have decent bass/midrange and no harshness in treble, does that make it a "muddy" sounding phone? i do...- b-rad
