I just want to know if there somewhere I can improve my setup. Back in the day I had a set of dynaudio bm12a and my setup was not perfect or did not translate to the monitors. I'm using Sonarworks Reference app and sound has improved but now I do not have the dynaudio to verify.

You are correct on EQ usage. But boosting the lows will give you the dark distorted sound they are after. As long as you dont go crazy with it that is.

The sound is still deep and luscious. Its just not as dark, sound is more defined and levelled (high, mids, and lows), its more true.   If you want the older sound just use the EQ on the lows. Pro • Q 2
