This is indeed my experience as well. I prefer Bliss over one ahb2 because of similar reasons. In order of preferences with susvara : 2 ahb2 (bridged mono) > 1 bliss (pre) + 1 ahb2 > bliss alone > 1 ahb2.

I like to play around with lots of toys and I did manage to collect a lot in the past 2-3 years. Since having the second kid, I don't have that much time to play around any longer. When I have time, I am listening to something that is more musical, Meze Empyrean Elite.

This is a good point. Adding the rockna streamer to wavelight...will be painful..to my wallet :)).However, Wavelight does have something up its sleeve. It is a very capable pre-amp and if you have a power amp, this comes in handy.

The guy from the left is very close to my experience with HD820. While the term "colored" is subjective, I think that even if HD820 might be colored because it has a mid bass bump, I also considered HD800(s) to be colored because the lack of bass and because of the treble peak.

I also know most of the impressions, this is why HD820 was a surprise for me. Personally, I prefer them to both HD800S and HD800. Actually, while I do like HD800S, I expected more from them. They do fix some of the treble peak issues and bass, but not enough for HD800S to become a genre master...
