THE DIY HEADPHONE STAND THREAD
HI, I'm a first timer here. I was so inspired that I went to Home Depot and came up with this. It's all 1" PVC spray painted to mach the pipe insulation used for cushion. I think it has an industrialized look.- thebasso

Need an Amp for Audeze LCD-2
I use the Meier Concerto with my LCD-2s and couldn't be happier. It has the wattage to push the sound through its musical peaks without loosing its musicality.- thebasso

Audeze LCD-2 Orthos
I've been listening with my Moon Audio Silver Dragon cable with LCD-2s for a month now without so much as touching the stock cable at all until now. I can't believe the difference. The Silver Dragon is supirior .The highs are up front where as the stock cable suffers in this area. And the...- thebasso

Audeze LCD-2 Orthos
I think I might go plan A on this one. After spending a small fortune on Mid-fi gear I would rather start somewhere more Hi-fi to begin with. I was never quite happy with the sound I was getting. "not that my gear is all Hi-fi anyway but it is good for the LCD-2s". You have start somewhere. IMO- thebasso

Audeze LCD-2 Orthos
Audeze has great costumer service with warranty issues. I accidentily broke a part while replacing the new blocks. I e-mailed them yesterday telling them what happened. This morning I got an e-mail saying the parts were in the mail. Hows that for fast.- thebasso

Audeze LCD-2 Orthos
Just received my LCD-2s today. Very impressed. I realized something, these cans are not dark, they just are not bright like some other high end cans are.I believe this is how music should be heard. Not colored. IMO More thoughts later. See my source in my sig. I am also using the Silver Dragon...- thebasso

Non-audiophile reactions to high-end headphones
I let my wife listen to my dt880s to her favorite " Sarah Mclaughlin ". She closed her eyes and laid her head back for a whole song. Whens she came to I asked her what she thought. She said " I don't know, I was so into the music " MISSION ACCOMPLISHED She has never complained...- thebasso

Review of the all new Beyerdynamic T5p dynamic Headphone.
I've been listening to my T5s for a couple of days now and have to say i am very impressed. I do like them better on a dedicated amp though wich is not what they were really made for. They sound very musical and full of depth on my Concerto much like the T1s. Very neutral in sound. And due to...- thebasso

Grado RS1 eats AD2000 for breakfast!
I'm starting to experiment on different types of music an am finding that the RS 1s are much more versatile than just Rock. Even more Pop oriented music. IMHO I agree that Porcupine Tree sounds excellent on the RS 1s. Try 3.1 off of Absentia.- thebasso

REVIEW: Meier Audio Concerto headphone amp
I have a Meier concerto. I am using a Musical Fidelity V DAC. It seems to do the job but have to ask myself if I am hindering myself in any way. The V DAC cost $300. Should I just make the jump to the Stage dac? Will it really make that much of a difference? Any thoughts?- thebasso

Grado RS-1s
I bought the RS1s mostly for rock. However I found them to be very versatile. Now I listen to them even for easier listening. With rock you better watch out . They are very powerful and can be fatiging even to the point of damaging your your hearing.I have to watch the volume. Other than that...- thebasso
