If I see another thread about fake Sennheisers, I may go insane and strangle myself wtih my (genuine) Etymotics cable.   Please do something about it. Either stop people joining if they like Sennheiser products (preferable) or shunt them off to a distant part of the Head-fi galaxy.

Ok, just a thought: is it not possible to put iems into some kind of recording device that can capture the sound they produce?   Surely, all you'd need is a two-mic set up with some kind of fake ears built around them?   If you could do that, and record the sound produced by select test...
