I did start out with HD428s (Around-The-Ears) before I upgraded to HD-25s. I don't recall if those ever made my glasses crooked, but I know I was told to get the HD-25s versus another Around-the-ear set for the bang-for-buck factor AND isolation.

I used my normal 2 channel headphones and turned on 6 channel Dolby Headphone and watched a movie in DTS surround. It worked great, all headphones will do surround sound.
