I love CCD. Rhiannon has one of the purest voices I have ever heard live. My cousin Benjy Fox Rosen - Luminescent Orchestrii) played base on Escoutas. But he never offered to introduce me to the CCD!

Anything I've heard from Vox Clamantis is beautiful. They could sing the abc's and I would listen.

OK so I discovered the composer Tan Dun a couple months ago and really love his double concerto (piano/violin) so I gave his guitar concerto a listen. I simply could not make it through the entire piece. It is just noise to me. YMMV!!!

I played this with Carmen Dragon (last row of the 2nd violin section) when he conducted the Redlands Symphony summer program for a few seasons. He was an egomaniac and an a$$hole.

One of favorite finds of the last while is the wonderful Tan Dun double concerto on this album (tracks 4 - 6.). Skip the John Cage nonsense go directly to Tan Dun it is spectacular and breathtaking.

If you like Chick's trio check out these quartets if you havent already. I had the good fortune to see Chick live with Ron Carter and Jack DeJohnette live at a small jazz club with my then skeptical 12 year old son who was as mesmerized as I was.

There are two Nigel Kennedy 4 seasons. The earlier traditional the "new" version extremely rhythmical and altered. It won't be everyones cup o tee but its quite beautifully done.

I have had the jaben govibe for a couple years and love it. But a few weeks ago the mini input plug has been dysfunctional transmitting only one channel when fully plugged in. If I pulle the plug slightly out, about 3/4 in, I will get both channels intermittently. Amc surprisingly it works with...
