The Beyerdynamic DT48 Arrives...
I listened to Colgateam's DT48S with the E pads and headband and I was simply blown away by how natural they sound. Though it turned out they werent as much more resolving than my 701s as I thought they'd be.- franatium

They had either the SHX1 or the SHX2 (it was a Perrraux headphone amp of some kind at any rate) at the store I got my 701s from here in Wellington. They wanted $1000 for it new though. What did your one set you back? Also I may have got one of my friends interested in the meet- franatium

Christchurch would be easier to get to than Auckland for me so its fine with me. Should be able to bring my K701s, K340s and DT880 03s (hopefully with 600ohm drivers by then).- franatium
