Closed, neutral and moderately priced
Hey fine folks of head fi. I've driven my family nuts today. I'm looking for a neutral, closed back set of headphones for around $150-200. This will be to monitor voice over work, so not looking for something that sounds v shaped or similar. I initially investigated the dt770 and m50x, but...- I34z1k

Space is tight, looking to replace my Xonar D2X with something external
Hey folks After breaking my back, I've had to get a much lighter rig. However I'm in a bit of a predicament as my D2X doesn't quite fit into it anymore. So I'm now looking at an external solution. I currently run from the 3.5mm output of my D2X into the RCAs of an integrated stereo amp which...- I34z1k

Hey guys Looking for a new set of headphones. Mainly use a Go-Vibe petite, it can power the 650s quite decently, but I do usually listen iPod - Go-vibe - headphones. Basically, any comments on which'd be better? I can get the 650s second hand for about $320, which is cheap here, or I can...- I34z1k

So, is there better DIY headphone cable than Cardas 4-24 AWG?
Does anyone know of any decent recabling resources? I don't know much about it but I'm decent with soldering sensitive goodies. Thanks- I34z1k

HD555 Mod plans
Hey guys I am really tired of using a 6.3mm to 3.5mm adapter on my 555s so I wanted to change the jack. But now I'm tempted to replace the whole cable. I don't want to go over the top as it's not a super serious set of headphones. Would it be worthwhile changing the cable? Any other mods...- I34z1k
