AR-T Legato II USB-S/PDIF Converter
44.1 should never sound better like 96 should not sound better than 192khz. it is like a 3 liter motor should not produce less power than a 2 or 1 liter motor. It is all in the implementation of the design. Then in soooo many cases 44.1 sounds better (but in also many cases sound worse, but as...- kyrill

AR-T Legato II USB-S/PDIF Converter
hi carma you can safely forget a 192khz for the long time being. In my belief you dont need it too. It is 90% marketing hype. You need a stellar high end dac which utilizes 192 khz like it should be, extreme low jitter and extreme stable power supply. which will make it very very costly...- kyrill

Review: Jkeny’s modified Hiface
hi I have the MK2 as well and before that I used The Squeezebox 3 modded by Boulder. I use the mk2 with 20 db att. Curiously as the SB3 was still in its place I used att on the SB3 and to my surprise it opened up, became darker and so on with 15 db att. My DEQX could not lock on with -20db...- kyrill

M2Tech hiFace EVO
The Hiface by itself attracted a lot of very good reviews so the EVO WIIL be a winner. How ever you pay also for alternative inputs which you may not use and it provides a simple wall-wart type power supply. AN alternative which may sound practically the same is the modded HiFace MK2: ...- kyrill

Apogee Duet - who is not impressed because of software limitations?
thx pAAJ But I really need a high high end Sound quality to be the source of my triode tube based setup and most others under 700 dollars have a standard clock and not the best jitter specs.) For some reason I intuitively accept the Duet sounds way better than its price suggests- kyrill
