Could someone with an iRiver confirm that the balance control still works when the line-level is used?

I have these 2 specific requirements for an MP3 player. I believe only the iRiver and Cowon have the balance controls. Are there any current models from cowon or others that have balance control and a line-out?

I have an m-audio 192 sending through it's analog outs. I find at full volume in itunes that some some tracks clip. I have brought the itunes volume down by 20% to resolve this. The windows volume is set to max.

A larger amp will provide more space for a larger and better quality power supply. Some smaller amps can also be purchased with a separate regulated power supply. But you still need to compare each amp on its own as larger size doesn't guarantee that it will be better.
