LOD (iPod) quality with mini/micro USB?
Hey, thanks for the reply! Yeah; that was one of the things I was looking at. (Did a search around the forums first.) Though, it's quite pricey at around $25 on Amazon vs. the one by FiiO (L11) at around ($10 with shipping) and a company I never heard of for around $8 with microUSB. ... -
LOD (iPod) quality with mini/micro USB?
Hi guys. I was looking to purchase a LOD with a miniUSB or a microUSB along with the 3.5mm jack so I can charge it at the same time. Though, it crossed my mind that it might degrade the audio quality. Will it? I'm not very technical with this stuff, so please forgive me if this sounds...- hscai

EAC extraction gap check?
Hi guys I ripped a CD about a month ago using EAC, and I don't remember whether or not I detected gaps or not. I don't want to spend another hour re-ripping the CD, but am not sure if I let EAC detect gap. It would be nice to see information on the file for the gap times, so I can verify...- hscai

TF10 Cable?
Thanks for the reply everyone. Quote: I have, but they seem to cost so much. That really isn't the biggest problem. I just thought they were rather thin. I am tempted to buy the Enyo cable though. They look great, and has Viablue plug. -

DIY TF10 cables
Thanks so much for the guide momomo6789! Also, since he is here, I would like to thank violinvirtuoso especially, since he's been helping me out since the very first thread. If I want to incorporate a microphone, what should I do? Also, I was looking at the Mogami cables, and there were a...- hscai

DIY TF10 cables
So the stock TF10 cable is dying on me. I want to make myself a good cable, but have no idea where to start. Though, a mic would be nice. A kind sir (not going to mention names because he might not like it) directed me here. Quote: So how much money can I expect to spend...- hscai

Etymotic hf5, hf2, hf3
Are they the same aside from the control and microphone present on the hf2 and hf3? I was wondering because the hf5 seems to be longer than the other two. Thanks in advance.- hscai

Good headphones for a basshead?
I'd actually say you look into the JVC FX500. They go for around half of 300 USD, and has really good bass. Not just strong, but deep, punchy, and fast.- hscai

James444's IEM giveaway thread (competition has ended - see post #344 and #354 for winners!)
Thanks for the chance, James444! To start, I must say I'm pretty thrilled by the ATH-CK100. A good half of the music I listen to is violin and piano solo repertoire. That means highs are really important, and from what I've read, ATH-CK100 excel there. To those who know what I'm talking...- hscai

TF10 Earwax?
By brush, you mean the small metal loop on a black handle right? Yes, I clean the IEM with it. I've read that million times while trying to find the answer and e-mailing Logitech about it. I did find that you can purchase the audio filters from Logitech by calling them. It's really assuring to...- hscai

TF10 Earwax?
I don't want to be rude, since I do respect this community and all its knowledge and kindness, but I don't know what to think. This is the third or fourth time I've asked this - two to three times in another thread of mine that died due to no one answering. I would be glad even if one of these...- hscai

TF10 Earwax?
TF10 doesn't have covering for the two holes. (I don't know how to describe those two holes, but thats where the sound comes out.) I have dry-type earwax, and it's a bit difficult to clean, especially since I can't see clearly inside the holes and might not notice small bits of earwax that's...- hscai

TF10 + vi cabling audio degrading? + earwax
Thanks very much once again. I'm quite interested in it, and probably make the jump after the warranty runs out on the TF10. As for the filter and earwax, I'm still a bit worried. Quote:- hscai

New to head-fi, looking for a decent pair of iem's
Sorry I forgot to mention which files for that link. It's usually suggested that you use white noise, pink noise, frequency sweep, and channel mix. M6 should be very comfortable, especially with the triple flanges (which also gives a very nice seal). If you don't find silicone tips...- hscai

New to head-fi, looking for a decent pair of iem's
They do come with a variety of tips, as shown on the product site. I usually burn in IEMs with a variety of music genre that will expose it to different ranges at about 40% of maximum volume (in my case, an iPod) for about a day or two. Generally, just play music at your normal hearing...- hscai
