Apple AirPods Pro And NEW AirPods Pro 2nd Gen (from 23 Sep 2022) - Impressions
I know that people have been using the dekoni tips for a similar foam tip feel. I just ordered the Spinfits to see if I can replicate a better seal (akin to the Shure silicone tips).- stephenlee2801

Next Gen Consoles Anyone?
Yeah same. In the past I've always hopped on day 1 but have found that the consoles just sit there with minimal use until around a year later when the library improves. I've missed the pre-order train this year anyways so it'll be around a year before I can get my hand on a console anyways- stephenlee2801

Are you a console or PC gamer?
I'm usually a PC gamer but I've found myself console gaming more this year. Been working from home for the last 6 months so subconsciously been trying to avoid spending time at my desk when I'm done with work.- stephenlee2801

Sony WH-1000XM4 discussion and reviews
I've had a very difference with the Sony XM line as well. I find them comfortable to the point where I can keep them on for entire overnight flights or throughout an entire work day. Have had no issues with them from a comfort perspective. Haven't had any issues with mechanical noise either...- stephenlee2801

Is there a "comfortable" headphone?
I guess comfort is specific to the wearer as everyone has different head / ear shapes, sensitivities to weight, clamp pressure etc. But from my experience (and from what I've read on head-fi) the HD650s and other sennheiser full-size cans are comfortable.- stephenlee2801

Best IEMs for only podcast / dialogue listening
If you're looking for IEMs just for dialogue / podcasts, I'd say fit, isolation and ease of use are the key factors you should consider. Most IEMs with a good seal will produce decent passive sound isolation but if you're mostly using on public transport then IEMs with ANC would be ideal...- stephenlee2801

Apple AirPods Pro And NEW AirPods Pro 2nd Gen (from 23 Sep 2022) - Impressions
That's a shame to hear, Xelastecs was one of the options I was looking to solve my issues with the stock ear tips. At the moment I'm in between sizes with the stock eartips so the seal isn't as good as I'd like. Currently looking for an alternative...- stephenlee2801

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Would be interested to seeing how these sounds compared to the MTW. It'll most likely be reduced sound quality and feature set but would be pretty cool if they retained most of made the MTW good while reducing features to keep the cost down.- stephenlee2801

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?
I've been getting some sweat on my ear pads (both through normal use and when I use the headphones at the gym on occasion). I usually wipe the ear pads down before storing them after every use and they've held up fine.- stephenlee2801

I would second the Sonys. Generally considered the king of ANC, great usability and good sound quality when compared to its competition.- stephenlee2801

hd25-1 impressions thread
I've found with alot of on-ear headphones the physical experience can vary quite a bit person to person (i.e. a person could find a pair comfortable on the ear but others find it unbearably comfortable). Could definitely understand where you're coming from with the fatiguing sound. The bass is...- stephenlee2801

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?
The whole idea of pushing a firmware update to change the sound of a pair of headphones is wild. What a time to be alive. I haven't updated by pair since I started using them, better look into this.- stephenlee2801

Volume: PC, DAC, or amp?
I agree, I think best practice from a sound quality perspective is to keep PC / player at 100% and then adjust with DAC / Amp. This route also ends up being the most convenient imo- stephenlee2801

Chromecast audio - can anyone comment on sound quality?
Hi all - this thread has inspired me to explore using a chromecast audio as at-home / at-office wireless setup.
