Buy from a reputable dealer with good feedback will be your best bet. I agree that amongst the NOS the Tesla and RFTs offer relatively reasonable value. Problem is the multiple variants available in the market.- tiga3mata

I have both the RFT folded and disk getter and they are both good. Not sure if you have tried the Sittard brown base EL34 XF4s with the DD getters. They are the best I have heard on the BHSE.....- tiga3mata

I agree with your logic and attitude. I am sitting here listening to The XX on my BHSE and the 009 at the end of long day; my escape from the daily grind. BHSE's reputation is all true. I have owned it for the past few years and the appreciation for its quality and design has not waned.. Every...- tiga3mata

You are absolutely correct. Spitzer has very generously contributed his time to improve the original design of the T2. I apologize for the omission. And to all the other great amp designers toiling away anonymously....a big thanks!- tiga3mata

Hi Andrew, I would be grateful if you can elaborate on how the Vega improves on the Dac64. I have the Dac Mkll and I am currently considering the Vega as a possible upgrade. I will be feeding the source into the BHSE + SR009. Thanks in advance. Leo- tiga3mata

I am 51 so there may be some age related high frequency attenuation. Does the BHSE + SR-009 sound bright? Yes but only at levels that I find uncomfortable and which is probably bad for your long term hearing sensitivity. It is almost like a built-in hearing protection...which is an advantage...- tiga3mata

Stax SR-009 vs. Wilson Audio
Depends on who you ask.... I own both headpones and amp. For my 50 year old ears I easily prefer the Stax 009. After more than a year of owing the BHSE + SR009 combination, I am still impressed which is saying something.- tiga3mata

BHSE or Woo WES?
Not knocking Woo products....they have a huge fan base in Headfi so that speaks for itself. For my taste, I prefer the Stax 009 on the BHSE. I am of the opinion that the review for the WES by AV Guide describes many of BHSE strengths. Wont be surprised if they got the 2 reviews mixed...- tiga3mata

What should I buy next? SR-009?
Arnaud, I think your explanation of the perceived differences between the 007 and 009 explains very convincingly the polarized opinions. Does this mean that those who listens at a louder volume will gravitate towards the 007? It will be interesting to canvass the experience of users.- tiga3mata
