HIFIMAN HE-500 Ergonomic Mod
I tried to unscrew the old frame but the screws were stripped on both sides of the cups. I took out the drivers from the cups and literally drilled a hole through the screw and cup to take out the old frame. After that I put the drivers back in the cups and the new frame fit like a glove in...- Suigeneris

HIFIMAN HE-500 Ergonomic Mod
Been a while since I've been on this site, just wanted to share a mod I came up with for my favorite headphones, the HE-500. Long story short, the fragile headband fell apart after a couple years of use. I looked at the new line of HIFIMAN headphones and took the opportunity to do this...- Suigeneris

ATH-W1000X Thread!
I don't know if this is the best place to put this post but, here I go. I accidentally yanked my w1000x while it was still connected to my amp a few months ago and ever since then the cable started losing contact with the left driver. For the next few months I bent the intersection of...- Suigeneris

ATH-W1000X Thread!
Thanks Sokolov, helped me a ton Yeah, I must admit I was looking at the GCHA as a great deal at the new price. I have heard that AT headphones aren't really sensitive to different amps so I'll keep that in mind now. Thanks again!- Suigeneris

ATH-W1000X Thread!
Hey Sokolov91, I see you've had the PS Audio GCHA before as well as the W1000x. Were they a good pair? I'm looking for amps that will work well for the W1000x in case my LD I+ doesn't cut it (my W1000x is coming in sometime this week). I was also looking at the Burson HA 160. Any input is...- Suigeneris

New hybrid amp by Little Dot, I+
Soon, I'll be getting the W1000X and use it with my LDI+. I'm assuming the results would be good as well. What does the LDI+ do for your W1000? Quote:- Suigeneris

Pictures of your computer rigs! Post them here!
Here's my little home rig Funny story with the Coldplay drawing, I was so proud of it back in my high school AP art class that I decided to stick it to my wall. Now I can't take it off > it's friggin stuck there! Notice the melting part...you can thank my laptop and DAC for that...- Suigeneris

New hybrid amp by Little Dot, I+
Quite a predicament with your headphones, well I'm (going to be) running my I+ from a DAC_II If you really want that k70x go for it! 2 in one? I didn't see that, have you tried doing a two in one inside the LD I+ before? I'm still new to OPA swapping so you'll have to forgive my noobiness...- Suigeneris

I'm considering buying the 2107 OPamp from here http://www.newark.com/texas-instruments/opa2107ap/operational-amplifier-op-amp-ic/dp/01M8387 My LD I+ is on its way with EF92 tubes and I'm planning to use them mainly for my Grado HF2 and sometimes the ATH AD700 and ATH M50. Does...- Suigeneris

Velour/Felt Pads for ATH-M50?
Tried the mod but I just don't think it was all that worth it IMO. At least for me the cost of sound leaking was something I couldn't afford to do. I also felt the velours gave you less ear space and because of that it gave me the impression of a smaller soundstage and clarity. However the...- Suigeneris
