Apple IEM - most underrated IEMs on the market
Got mine swapped for a new pair at my local Apple store. Still considering the s4is as well though - it's made me realise what a good idea it is to have a backup pair of phones.- The Boatman

Apple IEM - most underrated IEMs on the market
The rubber guards connecting the wires to the plastic bodies of my Apple IEMs have come loose. Here's a pic: They were bought in April, so I might take them back to the Apple store. Was thinking of getting the Klipsch s4is anyway.- The Boatman

My Westone 3 just broke
Brand new pair of W3s arrived today. Excellent service from Westone; here (in the UK) it's the retailer, rather than the manufacturer, who would be expected to deal with issues like this, but Westone were great.- The Boatman

My Westone 3 just broke
Earphone Solutions are saying that "all warranty claims are handled directly with the manufacturer", so I've emailed Westone themselves. However, they also said they "don't know if Westone would cover this under warranty since it broke when you were handling it and most likely there would be a...- The Boatman

My Westone 3 just broke
I ordered a pair of Westone 3s from earphonesolutions before Christmas. I first used the grey foamies for a month, changing them for a pair of large Shure olives (which Westome describes as compatible with the W3s) about a month ago. I thought I would replace the pair on the earphones this...- The Boatman

Westone 3 Impressions Thread
I was charged £277.91 via Paypal for mine, using the free shipping but including 3 extra pairs of 'p' series comply tips. Which will work out more or less the same as PJbox's price, but when will they have them in stock, and will I get charged customs? Maybe earphonesolutions will mark down the...- The Boatman

My Imod is with UK Customs. What'll happen next ..?
You will get a letter from Parcelforce with a reference number on it (not the same as the tracking number), asking for money. Ring the number on the letter and quote the reference, and pay by card over the phone. The parcel will arrive the next day. If the letter doesn't turn up, ring...- The Boatman

Problem (now solved) with Kenwood HD10GB7
OK, I think I've solved this problem: when I got the player I updated it to Kenwood's latest firmware, 2.00.01. I've just checked their site and there's a newer version of the firmware, 2.01.00. I only have a very little Japanese, but according to Google "In this [huamuueaatsupudeto] program...- The Boatman

Problem (now solved) with Kenwood HD10GB7
I've had my Kenwood HD10GB7 for about a month now and am mostly very happy with it apart from one annoying problem: on certain tracks, at about 10 seconds in (but not exactly 10 seconds in) I hear a 'chirrup' or glitch sound. This happens with and without SupremeEX enabled. However, it occurs in...- The Boatman

Best cans under $200 for shoegaze rock?
My gear is in my sig, but we have very similar tastes in music, so I'm posting to recommend: Ulrich Schnauss (highly recommended), Rumskib, Asobi Seksu, The Radio Dept, Manual, and Maps. There's been a lot of really good newgaze out recently.- The Boatman
