Phillips Fidelio X1 vs sennheiser hd 598 vs ath m50x
Sounds good! I don't think you'll be disappointed by them! The audio cable that comes with them is pretty long. Depending on your setup this can be good or bad. You can get these cables that come in all different sizes, I have the shortest one because my amp is about 2 feet from where I sit. I...- Gravit8

Phillips Fidelio X1 vs sennheiser hd 598 vs ath m50x
Yeah the m50s have a smaller sound stage than those two. The 598s have the better sound stage compared to the X1s in my opinion. They're also known for their mids (something I didn't know I loved so much until I got them). The sound leakage is pretty substantial. Imagine setting a pair of normal...- Gravit8

Phillips Fidelio X1 vs sennheiser hd 598 vs ath m50x
Coincidentally I have all three of these headphones right now. My favorite by far is the 598, very comfortable and sound great. Bass response goes like this M50>X1>598. So if the kind of music you like has a lot of bass I'd go for the X1s. If it's not as big of a deal to you I'd recommend the...- Gravit8

Fostex TH600 Dynamic Headphones
Hey guys, looking to sell my Th600s. They are in mint condition, nothing wrong with them. What's a fair asking price? When I bought them, they weren't $600 everywhere, and I haven't seen any listed in the for sale for quite some time. Any advice appreciated! Thanks!- Gravit8

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
Hey all! First off, I have a Little Dot MkII. With 6N6P-IRs power, and 6HM5s up front. The problem I'm having is tube feedback? Not sure if that's the correct term. If you were to flick one of your tubes, and get a pinging sound, that's what I'm getting but almost at random, near anything will...- Gravit8

ATH-M50x Pads, where to buy?
Man I thought mine were bad! That's good to know with the better seal, that's the first thing I noticed when I auditioned the M-50x. From what you've told me and my previous experience, it definitely sounds like you've got the updated pads. I guess I'll be ordering some new pads then. Thanks...- Gravit8

ATH-M50x Pads, where to buy?
Cool, yeah an update would be great. I was a bit hesitant to buy them because I've stopped using my m-50s as much as I used to. -
ATH-M50x Pads, where to buy?
So, I asked the Rep if those pads were the new M50x pads, and he said that they were. -
ATH-M50x Pads, where to buy?
So I emailed Audio-Techica, and the rep told me to buy these pads for the Ath-M50x. I don't know if they are the revised version or not. -
ATH-M50x Pads, where to buy?
I guess no one else really knows either. I'll come back to this thread or PM you if I find a source! -
ATH-M50x Pads, where to buy?
Hi, I have a pair of normal ath-m50s. I would like to get a set of the pads from the m50x as they were softer and seemed to be higher quality. I don't want to change the sound signature, so I'm not really interested in any Velour, or other non-stock options. Anyone know where I can pickup...- Gravit8

Need help with finding a suitable set of headphones
Since no one has suggested it yet, I thought I'd throw the Sennheiser HD518s out there. They're technically open, but they don't leak much, and they do block a fair amount of sound. They're extremely comfortable (huge ear cups) and would work with your genre's very well.- Gravit8

Help me choose a nice headphone? :D
Yeah when you first get them the clamping force is a little bit much, but over time it goes away. Completely fine after a month or so I'd say of just wearing them. If you want to speed up the process, stretch them over the box they come in overnight, every night. I wore mine for the same 6+...- Gravit8

Help me choose a nice headphone? :D
Hey, I know some won't agree on this forum, but I think the AudioTechnica ATH-M50s fit the bill everywhere except the detachable cable and in line controls. Durable, visually appealing, good weight, I also play PC games, and they work great for that, they give a good sense of where sounds are...- Gravit8
