Hey guys, looking to sell my Th600s. They are in mint condition, nothing wrong with them. What's a fair asking price? When I bought them, they weren't $600 everywhere, and I haven't seen any listed in the for sale for quite some time. Any advice appreciated! Thanks!

Ive had mine for sale for about a month in the FS for $450. Hardly any bites. Like you, I picked mine up when it was a challenge to find them for $600-650. This market has become saturated with manufacturers releasing new product after new product, driving prices down and making this hobby very expensive to be a buy/sell/trader. I'm going to have to get out, or go with something classic like high end sennheisers that dont get products released over them every year or two.

By "buy/sell/trader" I mean someone who tries different headphones and sells the old one on here. Taking a $100+ hit each time I try a headphone for 6 months isn't as cheap as the previous headphone transaction in which I only lost about $5.

Amazing the awesome deals you guys get over there, the TH600 is still like $1100 here - at least I got mine from a deal when our currency was still a lot better.

Damn, that's not good. Sorry I didn't see your listing, I just used the search function, maybe I missed it. Yeah I picked em up when the going rate was 520-550 used. This hobby is too expensive for me lol.

Always be prepared to take some big losses when selling, due to prices always going down on current headphones. They can be bought new for as low as $500 from authorized sellers, so you're looking at $400 to get people to look at used ones. Thats just the nature of this hobby. Only rare and highly sought headphones keep their value (like a near mint pair of D7000s)...

Sad news for you bro.
I only managed to sell my 6-months old for around US$400 sometimes last year when brand new price was hovering around US$650-700/piece.

Who has them for $500?

I saw a review on reddit that said he could barely hear any leakage from an arms length away with an Asgard at 1 o clock on high gain. That seems like a pretty high volume... Is that guy nuts? Seems contradictory to most of the other comments ive heard regarding leakage.

I work in a cubicle and wouldnt mind low isolation for a closed headphone. Hearing people trying to talk to me is good. But i dont want anyone to hear my music. I listen at moderate volume, maybe 70 db or a little more. Office is pretty quiet but not library quiet. The typing from the cube next to me is audible but voices dont carry very far.

Any specific comments regarding leakage would be great. Volume on amp, distance from phones, etc.

Razordog also has a $100 instant rebate offer going now.  I just ordered the TH600 "A Stock" for $499.00.  Figured I'd pay $20 more over the "B-Stock" for $479.00.

I'm excited to hear these.  I really like a U or V sound signature.  I just hope the TH600's aren't too extreme.  The frequency charts suggest it's not any more drastic than the HiFiMan HE 400, which is my current headphone.  The HE 400 kept me happy for nearly 3 years.  I'm hoping the TH600 will be an upgrade or at least similar sound quality, but closed back.  I've read the TH600's leak sound but the HE400's are just like speakers up against my head.  My wife thinks I have my speaker volume on sometimes.

You will be very happy with the TH600 coming from the HE400. I love both headphones. The TH600 isn't polarizing like the HE400 can be.
