Hey guys, i'm revisiting my LDIII and i would like to ask if it's possible to use the 6N3/6N3P tube as either a driver or power tube with or without the appropriate adapters? I found some old 6N3 to ECC88 adapters but can't quite recall how these may be used in the LDIII....a search on this...

Will the amp pair well with high impedance headphones like the Beyer T1 and HD650?

Lol, that was ages ago....no more now. It costs a fair bit to commission and with the heat we get here all year round, the Megatron is not going to help....and that's not even taking into consideration the electricity bill :p

LOL, guess its still fine but over the longer term, who knows? So, its safer with solid state amps to just tap them direct off the speaker taps.

Are you driving the cans straight off the taps without any resistor in place? I've always been under the impression that one should not drive headphones directly off the speaker taps of a transformer coupled tube amp. Or am i wrong to think as such?
