WiiM Streamers Mini and Pro
As former owner of R2R11 (first version), popping sounds when changing sampling rates has long been an issue with earlier Audio GD R2R dacs. Can this possibly be an issue with the DAC and not WiiM?- VilMo

E-MU Wooden Series Headphones
Yeah, it used to bug me that people perceive things so differently but in the end they do hear and appreciate sound in different ways and arguments in this domain are pointless. The only sure way to find whether you will like a headphone is to put it on your head.- VilMo

SR2 is inferior to the Teak. Tried SR2 as potential upgrade, but it cannot compare, let alone be an upgrade.- VilMo

For anyone interested I am selling a mint SR2 to EU buyers (in the classifieds). Bought them after reading twice through the whole thread and a lot of positive reviews online. I have to agree it is very well built, comfortable, musical, enjoyable and diverse pair of cans. I chose to keep my...- VilMo

I am selling little used iBasso SR2, bought for testing in January 2022 from another head-fier. The build quality is top-notch - metal and leather. They are very comfortable for long listening. Fist owner of the R2R11 DAC/AMP, bought in 2017 from Mana Hifi. Excellent introduction to R2R technology. Has powerful amplifier, no external analogue input however. Build to last - like a tank - like all Audio GD units. True NOS (non-oversampling) DAC, likened to digital vinyl by some. Normal...- VilMo

Hello. I am interested in the SR2. I currently own EMU Teak headphones (a Fostex OEM), and would like to ask you if you have heard any of the similar bio-cellulose models like TH-X or Fostex TH600/610 or Denon? The reviews point to a similar sound... Have you had the chance to compare and if...- VilMo

iFi audio's SilentPower Collection: GND Defender, DC Blocker, Nova, and SupaNova!
How are DC Blocker GND Defender different from AC Purifier? I already have the latter. It is also supposed to solve ground loops. Does it block DC?- VilMo

I have the same and I am pretty happy with them. For 2+ years I tried 5 different options. Those pads are quite close to the original pads, but softer and more comfortable. At the same time the sound remains very close to original - balanced and without damaging parts of the frequency range as...- VilMo

Hi afilen. I have experimented with several different pads including ZMF Ori. The Ori are very well made but did not sound well on the Teak at all, unfortunately. I have not tried ZMF Eikon Hybrids. I have been using those pads from aliexpress with really great results for my taste - picture...- VilMo

3 years owner of Teaks here and visitor to this thread. Have seen some worried people here and have seen some late replies from Emu. But I have never seen anyone being cheated by them. So don't worry, you will get the phones hopefully sooner rather than later 🎁- VilMo

Reply to review by 'VilMo' on item 'SoundMAGIC HP1000'
Really great review written with a lot of consideration and focus, great observation skills! As a fan of both brands - happy owner of Emu Teak that you mention in the review and Soundmagic E10 and E11 in-ears as well as the TWS50 that I enjoy a lot, could you possibly comment of the soundstage...- VilMo

I have the same perception of the sound signature, stage, character. I just don't have had the opportunity to compare to the same cans that you have. My most recent comparison was to the Ananda which I had on loan. The Ananda had slight edge on detail resolution and maybe was a bit faster, but...- VilMo

Dali Headphones
I will be using my phone: Honor View 20. It supports: Bluetooth 5.0, A2DP, aptX HD, LE. So on paper it looks good. Out of curiosity I will also try the internal DAC using USB and the line in from desktop amps, but will most often probably use BT connection from my phone. What I am not sure...- VilMo

Thanks, this confirms my per-conceptions. I already have EMU Teak that I enjoy and probably Dali will not match it, but hopefully it can provide different sound signature for enjoyment of different tracks. Dual/triple usage (BT/USB/stereo wired) is welcome option and I am glad that quality...- VilMo
